I've recently developed Hideload, a desktop application to track document changes and manage document revisions. While I believe it addresses version control for business & office documents, I know there's always room for improvement, especially with insightful feedback.

Overall, GOOD! But LLMs don't work as expected in some cases. For technical solutions, they usually don't take software version as a parameter which may cause issues. So I always had to cross-check the solution in forums and documentations

My personal opinion here. Electronics last for 10 years while a good car can last for 50 years. By time, the electronics part of your car will require more maintenance than your car itself. So I always prefer cars with less electronics!

Thanks! I am a LibreOffice user and I was not aware that Microsoft 365 had version control.

My software renames the file and appends a unique tracking number. So it is possible to track versions of any file without restrictions.

Both Cron and SSE are solid & efficient. They consume lower resources when compared to modern alternatives. I have worked on both spring batch(with scheduler) and cron with script that starts the java application. I found cron more meaningful.

For the layout, the one you are used to! Learning a new layout looks cool, but doesn't serve any deep purpose.

I understand it is hard and time gruelling process, because I am working on it too. Searching "hideload" will put my website in the first, but I will never be able to find my website in first 10 pages with the search term "file versioning software". But, things will get better with the efforts you put in. Hope that helps!

For getting potential customers, I believe "Vancouver-based cloud consulting firm, specializing in DevOps, cloud engineering, and AWS/Azure/GCP solutions" should be your primary SEO target over Autimo. Focussing on Autimo might not drive new customers or website visits effectively.

The extension looks native to the system in the screenshot which is impressive. It might be helpful for some users if file size and type are added to the list.

Integrating all the necessary tools for DevOps into a single software solution is truly impressive.

Rust deserves some good libraries like these!
