I can't emphasize enough how much I prefer to let the browsers vendors handle that.

IMO depend of the type of the project you're building. I'm using Ember because most of the project I work on right now have multiple pages, views and components. Using any other library/toolset would be much harder to achieve the same results. Ember comes with a lot of things in the box, the routes is definitely a game changer compared with with others.

I'm more with the niche market to be honest, solve one specific problem.

The money is a good point, of course we all want to do something that succeeds and the profit plays a big role here. Thanks for the input!

I agree, the same when people use jQuery without have a basic understanding of Javascript.

By the way comments like that make me cry: "I see tools like Macaw actually being the death of front end development". This guy clearly isn't a web designer and doesn't understand the basic principles of front-end, web browser and the web itself.
