Same in Greece too
idk maybe Type Theory
You mean like the ones working on Wall Street?
yes it's an old story
The Bible is hardly based on the clay tables. Genesis, the first book of Moses, tells the story of the flood, which the Sumerian refer to as Gilgamesh.
IMHO there are tests and there are tests. I had to work with codebases that had awful tests. They broke frequently because they were badly written. They used a lot of mocking when mocking was not appropriate. This tests were written for the purpose to have tests not for the purpose to really test the domain. I do not write tests for simple cases, like method in class A just delegates to method in class B.
For a one man show - go on do not write tests, especially if you do not know where you will end up with the software. But in teams I find a lot of value in (good written) tests, preventing bugs and documenting bugs. Sure you can over-engineer it, as everything else too.
BUT working without version control? Good that it works for you. I think version control is one of the MUST USE tools.
That is really good !
Germany is hostile to everyone who wants to start a business. You have to check with different agencies/offices and just work it through. A lot of time consuming. Finanzamt, Rentenversicherung, Krankenkasse, Berufsgenossenschaft, Gewerbeamt, everyone has its own rules.
For the super rich its a good place.
I heard the podcast from Huberman and Dr. Chris Palmer and they talk about ketosis and mental illness. It was really interesting.
Sounds like the Gartner RGT model

For me it is important to have effective note taking and management. I tried a lot of note taking apps myself and I am not satisfied with the ones I tried. Even unsuccessful planed and tried to write one myself : ) I used zim-wiki[1] in the past and at the moment I am using Obsidian[2], that is working good for me.
I like the way you use to take notes. I know it from Workflowy [3].
Everyone has some personal approach and use cases for taking notes. From taking only notes for a grocery list to a full-fledged personal wiki system. And it is important to figure out what PND (pain/need/desire) your application should really satisfy.
My first Laptop was from Toshiba. Worked with it for 7 years, Windows and Linux without problems.
I can recommend the bodyweightfitness reddit too. A few years ago I read a lot in this subreddit and I execised a lot at home.
If you like to read on the subject go on, but as others point out do not make it to complicated. You do not train for competitive reasons. This is what I would say to my younger me 20 years ago:
- As you will read in the reddit: vertical and horizontal pulling, vertical and horizontal pushing exercise, e.g. pullups, pushups etc.
- You do not need a lot of exercises. If you want to do more, two exercises are sufficient, e.g. two different horizontal push...
- Do 3-5 sets, 8-12 repetitions per exercise. Thats for building muscle. On your last rep you should feel, that you only could do 1-2 more reps. Pause 90 sec - 2 min.
- Do not get to complicated. If you feel great make 5 sets. If you feel not rested enough do 3. Select an exercise progression that has the needed intensity.
- Please try to keep the form. Quality reps count.
- Get enough rest. You do not need to train everyday. 2-3 times a week is enough. And sometimes only 1 time. Just be consistent.
- For the diet: In generall it matters how much you eat and what you eat. Coach Summer answered in an reddit AMA: "What diet are your students following?" - "The see food diet. They see it and they eat it". If you can afford beans then beans. If cou can afford more, then beans ; ).
- And the most important - just have fun : )
As another good resource I really liked the interview betwween Huberman and Galpin https://hubermanlab.com/dr-andy-galpin-how-to-build-strength...
I can recommend The Pragmatic Programmer by Thomas and Hunt
That brings back old memories! I used to fold my paper airplane like this for the most part : ). I do not remember who showed it to me.
"poor access to routes to complain"
this
Yeah its good advice. All Architectures are build like this. Inkrementally.
yeah some people think this has to be done. But duplication can be cheaper especially if you are building the wrong abstraction.
"Don't break the chain!"
Yeah I can confirm this. We did it in our company too and it was really fun!
nice!
I read the book and can recommend it. Very interesting!
