I'm not sure what you mean. I was criticizing the viz, not the literature.
Incidentally, I never read anything by Lovecraft, but am a big fan of Tolkien. I came up with this nickname on the spot.

hahaha, seems like entreporn fanboys don't like when someone puts down meaningless statistics
and yet, someone has to call the ceasar naked
keep voting down, for me it's karma points well spent
rather: Wasting time and attention on useless statistics and pointless visualizations.
who cares
what a stupid title
Maybe it's interesting technically, but what's the use of this site, if the movies are rated by retards? I mean, any ranking that puts Avengers in the first 1000 best movies is obviously deeply flawed.
most important will be Google Glass
this one is merely on the Kinect level
That's rather naive. You conveniently forget the fact that before you shoot down an F-35, first you have to spot it.
Not to mention that building a drone with capabilities similar to a manned fighter is a very hard problem and you can be quite sure that US's rivals (China, Russia) are decades away from fielding one.
Can't wait for this to bubble up to Polish mainstream media. (And it will, it's the perfect link bait / eyeball magnet.)
Hasn't Apple heard what Poland did to ACTA? We love it when some big American entity comes pushing around and stepping on the little guy. We've got our pitchforks and torches always ready. Come, Apple, come.
If the big Goo asks the forum admin to take down the thread, let me know, I've made a copy.
Vote for Mitt Romney, he'll scale back the EPA and you'll be able to wallow in carcinogenic substances all day long.
The "Occupy Mars" t-shirt is awesome! :D
Why does the link lead to AllThingsD ?!?!?!?!?
either point to the YouTube video itself http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-s_3b5fRd8
or to the show page at http://foundation.kr
Don't give News Corp the traffic it doesn't deserve.
The title is misleading.
Suggests that there's going to be no Pebbles, while in reality the watches are seriously delayed.
Cheap link bait.
yaaaaawn
so what's new
they did other stuff: made things better, connected in new ways, etc.
i still don't like their stuff - for aesthetical reasons
so what
get a life
Should'ev tested MongoDB too!
I can hear this guy talking. But is he saying anything?
Because it's all a conspiracy. There isn't and never was a moon.
See here a British youth journalist challenge Buzz Aldrin about it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kKFYTBo6kA
Thinkpads have an understated, timeless design, superior to almost all competition, Macs included. The only distinguishing quality of Macs is their built quality - but that's not exactly a good reason to buy an ugly laptop.
Of course, most people have pretty childish tastes and prefer shiny things. But I guess de gustibus non est disputandum.
[And yes, I do feel like I have a bit too much karma... ;]
old news
still, pretty cool
Of course they realize that the NSA already has a full copy?
You might think: so what, I'm not a terrorist. But think twice, because people opposing US interests (and the interests of some of the most powerful lobbies, like MPAA & RIAA) are increasingly being afforded the treatment you'd expect for a terror suspect.
If I hear the "big data" buzzword one more time, I'm going to throw up.
Mine works just fine. :P
The lesson from this and other cases is simple:
DON'T START A COMPANY IN THE U.S.
DON'T KEEP YOUR ASSETS IN THE U.S.
DON'T KEEP YOUR DATA IN U.S.-owned DATA CENTERS
(That includes non-US data centers belonging to US companies, like Amazon AWS servers in Ireland.)
Otherwise you're exposing your company and your users to the arbitrary, predatory practices of US "law enforcement" system, which happily does the bidding of US content industries.
Yeah, well, I didn't read the review even now and I don't plan to. And the reason is simple:
If something looks waaay too good to be true, it usually is.
$337 for 27'' H-IPS doesn't exist in the real world. They must have cut corners on something - and pretty badly.
...First example already provided in the Disqus guy comment: 30% failure rate in 3 months. I rest my case.
How did warranty claims / returns work for you?
Did the seller honor them properly?
Obviously, he cared more about quality than size.
smaller and 16:9
yes, 16:9 are cheaper than 16:10
Not electronics quality but amount.
And from that I drew a (simplified, yes) conclusion that more electronics => more processing => better picture.
Americans buy their cars by cupholders.
And monitors by input ports. ;)
