Got it working. The problem was that /dev/mapper/vg-home was a symbolic link so stat wasn't giving the right major and minor numbers, so once I fixed that it worked well.

Has anyone gotten this script to work? In my case, the device name happened to be /dev/mapper/vg-home, so I had to manually create /dev/mapper for the mknod to work. I also had to specify the fstype, but now I am seeing the below error:

mount: /dev/mapper/vg-home is not a valid block device

How do you use the -f option for the master? Do you run a command that just waits for ever? What command do you run?

I gave mine to someone who just started learning web programming and it has been great! Using shiftedit with dropbox for creating and editing files, and the battery life on it is amazing. But, i agree, ChromeOS is mot for everyone.

That is mainly due to the difference in bundled market.

Fails to mention that you need gold subscription for any of those, including Netflix.

In my last job, I used colinux with Windows 7 and it was a match made in heaven. But when I moved, I had to choose the next best thing, which is Mac OS X, because of lack of support for 64-bit windows.

A lot of people don't know that you can move the cards around so that you can arrange two cards to be right next to each other, if you could speed up your workflow that way. I am wondering how expensive this would be for a pre-paid plan as a last resort to google information or fetch some mobile sites. I know it is 10c to send SMS and 25c to receive MMS, so can we assume that it would cost a minimum of 35c per each request? If the browser requests more resources when the JS is executed, would it automatically result in more requests to be sent? Can this be somehow controlled? I have unlimited data, so don't need this, but the wife uses a prepaid plan and T-Mobile has no viable data options, so would like to give this option in case of "emergency".

Article says deoxidation causes the orange juice to become bland, so what happens to the original sugars? I can understand adding flavors, but that would not bring back the sweetness, if the deoxidation destroyed them, so do they add extra sugars as well?

Thanks for asking the question, I have been doing the research myself to move away from google notes and google bookmarks. I have been trying Evernote and so far don't like it much. All the interfaces that I tried (web, windows client, chrome extension, iphone and android apps) are clumsy, slow and lacking. I don't especially like the fact that desktop clients have offline support for free, but you need to pay for the mobile clients to get this functionality. I am looking at SpringPad as an alternative (their web and android interface seems snappy, and they support offline storage as well as no storage limits), but waiting for them to add a feature to import and export data. I will not try a product that locks in user data.
