I listen to psytrance. Mostly full-on. It usually does not have any vocals and has a groove or beat. But nothing really surpasses silence for thinking.

Excel is essential and in most businesses that I worked with, most of the accounting and business side is run on it. I switched to Windows from Linux just because of Excel when WSL came out. If Linux would have Excel and Photoshop that would be a no brainer to choose it, but that will never happen

The puke and diarrhea after every chemotherapy session might feel bad acutely, but the real killer is neuropathy. When it gets bad, it's impossible to operate zippers, pens, shoe laces, walking like made from wood, nails falling off due to nerve degeneration, teeth gums getting swollen. In cold climates (-10 below freezing) it is especially hard.

It beats being dead, surely.

You need/must/have to/imperative that you do = oppositionality

The best boss I had either said: Can You help me out by...x Justification, then command...x The room is really messy, can you...x Please do this...

I really agree with the Cialdini's method of giving justifications for requests. It works very well for me personally

3 perfect cuts. Only 1 cut below 95%. Seems a bit off

I was using it as well, but after talking to my very knowledgeable dentist, pressure cookers destroy most of the vitamins from foods. Since talking to her I started using my pot without the pressure valve, semi open, and use it as a small simmering device, similar to a pot on a stove, but without needing to remember to turn it off.

I can relate to the author. When I was ~28yo, I used to do similar things and experimenting socially. The best way to get to know guys is by doing shared activities - basketball, hikes, going to sauna, gym. But it only makes acquaintances. The vulnerability and honesty part can only be achieved 1-on-1 and some people don't like those talks. But it really makes true friends. It can cut through the polite-social-minimizing-risk-bullshit-talk like a knife. It's really hard to have very close friends and having at least one is a true blessing... I never had the fortune of meeting great female friends though. Even though I like talking to them and doing activities that involve many females (dancing salsa, bachata, kizomba).

You sound like me 10 years ago. Be careful in pushing Yourself in the gym until total failure. It might be directly correlated to injury. Especially for Your shoulder, knee joints and lower back. It's tricky to have good joints and be very big and buff all Your life. Muscles grow, joints do not. Doing lower than 8 reps will help You grow, but it will kill Your joints.

Lithuanian here.

The situation in our country is very strange. I haven't seen so much chaos. This pro-USA anti-CCP propaganda is hurting us practically a lot.

Current situation in Lithuania:

-We have a big real-estate price boom, because people are putting all of their savings to real-estate, because money is losing value due to USA recently printing ludicrous amounts of money. Housing market is getting crazy.

-Prices of imported products are also going up because of the supply shortages in the market. Let's face it - Europe is dependent on China. A lot. And if only Lithuania take a stance against it, only we are going to take the hits.

-wages are increasing, but not as much as prices are going up.

For me it seems that the only ones that are getting the benefits for these anti-CCP stunts are the politicians and their groupies, who are getting patted on the back by USA, other ideologists and pro-"Lansbergis" (our foreign ministers grandfathers cult) people.

Me and my dad have a small business importing high-quality electrical products from China (yes China sells good products too. We tested them in laboratories). This political tension is not good. We are considering options to import not to Lithuania, but to Poland instead

I am also Lithuanian. I totally disagree with Your position and see no justification why this is good for us.

You seem to be naive and ideological. We didn't do a lot of business with Taiwan previously, sure. But it's very small comparing to the amount of business we are losing to China. I don't know if You have noticed the rising prices of products in our country much faster than wages. It took 1-2 months to get a shipping container from China 6months ago. Now it takes 3-5 months. Prices are going up. Taking a political stance against China hurts our businesses, increases prices to us all. With the marginal benefit of a pat on the back from ideological people

The biggest hurdle Linux has to overcome is somehow convincing major players to release Linux version of their apps. Making a beautiful skin is not going to solve the main Linux catch-22: not enough market share to have main apps, not enough main apps to increase market share. Excel, Power point (essential for business and school) creativity apps like Photoshop, Premiere, etc. Their are essential to most people work-flows and the biggest hurdle to adoption.

VM's partly solves the problem, but You need to have a decent computer and small technical chops.

I'm going to propose a critical point of view, but stay with me.

I feel that the only people that are lonely choose loneliness up on them selves. In this day and age You can do so many things. Why only job, home, whine, repeat?

You can join a dance class, go to meetups, do volunteering, try yoga (acro Yoga my favourite), go to group gym classes, organize treks, events, hikes, meetups, go hitchhiking or go to Asia.

It's up to You to either spend Your days alone or with other people. Just say "hi, how are You doing?" to people in events. Everybody is looking for someone to bond with.

Unless You are really shy or only care about Your job and making money.
