I feel like this: "working" with AI is fucking depressing.

We're so fucking doomed.
FUCK AI. I'm tired of all the AI related bullshit we are living through.
I'm tired boss.
I always love AI discussion. Using AI like they fucking sell it to us? You're doing it wrong!!LLMs can't do that!!
No shit sherlock, but the AI gurus are just telling people that this fucking parrot CAN DO EVERY FUCKING THING.
Why wouldn't an ordinary guy just ask these question to an AI when everybody is telling him that AI is intelligent enough to answer accurately?
Betting on sport is kind of what sports where made for.
What?! Beg I your pardon, but I think sport is a very different thing to me.
If you go through the manual steps on mac os, the file gets deleted when Firefox is updated.
Is there a way to persist the file even after updates?
Damn, the future is more and more distopic every day.
Yeah, if not only for the small fact that you are leaving a well defined set of rules for pure chaos and randomness this time around.
I really don't get it.
While letting the AI write some code can be cool and fascinating, I really can't undersand how:
- write the prompt(and you need do be precise and think and express carefully what you have in mind)
- check/try the code
- repeat
is better than writing the code by myself. AI coding like this feels like a nightmare to me and it's 100x more exhausting.
Vibe investing is coming and it's going to make a lot of people poor.
I don't know if "AI" will be able to do 100%, or even 90%, of my job in the next year(s). But I do know what I can see now: "AI" is making more bad than good.
Billions of dollars litterally burned in weird acquisitions and power, huge power consumptions and, the worst one maybe: the enshittification.
Is it really this what we want? Or it's what investors want?
8 hours in front of a screen while working is not the same as 8 hours doomscrolling content, at least that's my guess.
What about a nice book?
It seems that even discussion about AI is getting really polarized like everything else these days.
Comments are always one of these two types:
1 -> AI is awesome and perfect, if it isn't, another AI will make it perfect 2 -> AI is just garbage and will always be garbage

Is there anything open source like this, but for personal finance?
Reddit announced new pricing for their API. The Apollo(an ios app) developer said that with the new pricing he couldn't make it affordable to keep the Apollo app running and it started messaging with reddit to see if they were open to make some changes.
They were not and they made a lot of false statements about the Apollo developer. To show that those statements are false the Apollo developer is showing a lot of proofs, one of those proofs is this code.
Very nice! Where did you pull your data from? Are there any good financial api/datasets out there available for financial data?
This is partially true.
Yes, Bicocca University DID cancel a 4 lesson course about Dostoevskij, but after the professor went viral on social media they made up their minds and confirmed the course.
Yes, it was a very nonsense decision but they DID NOT banned teaching Dostoevskij in the end.
It is very easy to be misleading though: https://github.com/evanw/esbuild/issues/669
The problem is not finding a nice alternative.
The problem is that everybody's contacts are on Whatsapp. How do you make THEM switch?
Last Friday, the country’s top Internet censor announced a new set of regulations (link via Google Translate) meant to eliminate posts by anonymous users on Internet forums and other platforms.
No, and a lot of people don't like it because it's cloud based too.
If only more people used Telegram.. I love it, but only a couple of friends use it.
Probably they didn't update the app yet?
What if I don't have that option in Whatsapp? Does it mean you can't opt-out after 30 days?

Really?
I don't know if it is a good idea or not,but you could change the web url just a little so that the password will be different. For example twitter.com could be twotter.com. You know it's still twitter of course, but you'd have a new password.
Frustrating.
