It's interesting to me how the midwest is portrayed in media. I was born and raised in Indiana, outside a small town that's actually famous for a few things, we even had a New York Times article about us. The way the midwest is portrayed in media is interesting to me. It's often shown as a place where weird stuff happens all the time. Sometimes it's depicted as an idyllic small town, more recently it's been the trappings of small towns. In my experience, it's really not all that it's cracked up to be. Yes we have strange things and strange people, but doesn't everywhere? We have odd traditions, but so do a lot of places. There are interesting mixes of cultures, but they're basically all European(excluding the major cities). It's just weird to me when people romanticize the Midwest, there's nothing special about it. Come visit if you want, I've been told we're the most polite!

Yes they have. They've banned subs that could've been used to do illegal things. Subs like gundeals (for users to buy guns between eachother ) or alcoholtrading (same thing but for alcohol). I don't remember the exact names, but there were dozens of similar subs that were all banned.

I see Facebook and YouTube as completely different and I think a lot of people would agree. For most people YouTube is all about consuming. Sure some people make videos, but most go nowhere. Most people are just using it to fill their day, or for background noise while they do other stuff, just like people have been doing with TV for years.(why do you think YouTube made autoplay a thing). Facebook is more about connecting with people and expressing yourself than it is about consuming things.

A frieND of the family recently had a baby and the first thing my mom said to them after getting them a onezi was "I only ask that you post a picture of her in it on Facebook." 90% of the pictures of me on Facebook were posted by my mom. Mom's will keep it around

I think China may be more on the brink than people realize. Right now there are about 30 million men in China who can't get married,not wont, can't. There simply aren't enough women in China for the men to find a bride. That's 30 million men who may be left jobless, and without a relationship. That is a recipe for disaster, maybe even a revolution
