Technical interviews are only good at indicating whether or not someone is good at Technical interviews.

The best way to figure out if someone is a culture fit? Ship code with them.

If you can start off on a contract, do that. It is the best way to even out the power dynamic of the interview process.

How can you convince your boss to let you continue to WFH after being asked to go back to the office?

For jobs that can be done remotely, location based pay is the new “college degree required”.

It is a perfect strategy to save time reviewing resume’s today, and eliminate the need to in the future.

In a distributed future (for tech at least), information re: my value to the company will also be increasingly available.

This availability of information + liquidity of talent will create a more perfect market where “what it takes for me to do the job” = how much value that job creates.
