Stillwell's books are very good, as are Courant/Robbins What is Math and Ian Stewart's several books(one with David Tall as collaborator). My dad gifted me What is Math in grade school and i return to it every couple of years.

Will take awhile for liquidity to build, just look at volume candles on /ES contract, really not much during Asian trading session
24 hour trading is avail on brokers like IBK, webull, hood, etrade, Schwab (short lists of tickers, but useful ones, QQQ, SPY SMH etc). If you're looking at just ARca's order book, liquidity is pretty thin overnight before 4am EST
In context, WUSTL has a $13+ billion endowment and earned solid returns as last reported: https://endowment.wustl.edu/about/endowment/
So while this may sound like it'll be in the case studies of ERP/CRM etc failed projects, which has some very memorable writeups, the judgement of failure/success is still out (or shd we say jury is out)
There's all kinds of text keyboard mappings including some like court reporter's input devices.
i don't actually know a lot about split/ergo/mech's and don't know of any non-rabbit-holey info sites but you can learn a bit about 1 and 2 handed split ergo's and ZMK/QMK firmware mappings at https://old.reddit.com/r/ErgoMechKeyboards/
ZMK's docs are pretty good https://zmk.dev/docs/keymaps
Well, there's the deficit but also China's central bank has steadily reduced Treas holdings while BoJ ramps up, and other sovereigns incented to reduce if they think dollar continue to weaken or their country was running trade surplus w/US. (trying to figure out vol profile on $DXY in tradingview...)
But we are around or just over Bessent's pain points for /ZB and /zn so we'll see
Treas by central banks https://home.treasury.gov/data/treasury-international-capita...
No idea about any of these channels but there are some on YT that give good global macro coverage:
- Vix, IV vs realized/historical
- option flows
- market makers gex, skews, (1st 3 probably best src of edge)
- /NQ and /ES trading volume,
- bond yld curve, credit spreads, how much prim dealers hold after long auctions, PBC holdings
- metals
- geopolitical: Europe / middle East / China/ South America
- energy
- currency
- commodity prompt spreads, contangos
(IMO)The 2 sigma's are getting receptive audiences as pre-announces of layoffs at Amazon, MS and others yield the analog of a 50 VIX in the options markets, where enumerating mid/good/bad scenarios goes from difficult to impossible.
Lots of good info in OPs article and this thread, and good band/classical tradition suggests, also.
I've been listening to a lot of 21st century string quartets, Ben Johnston (student of Partsch), Caroline Shaw, Garth Knox, Kevin Puts and trying to figure out how they notate them. Also spend time on fretless bass/guitar, pedal/lap steel doing ... stuff.
Years ago, i visited a well funded project to generate power from (I think) similar kites, high aspect ratio front rams, I'll have to ask what happened to them.
we have 2 very recent Tesla 3's here (in the US, tho i'm not sure which gen HW 3 or 4 they have and I don't drive them), i'm told (judging by center console) reliably identify anything they need to but FSD isn't happy in construction zones with orange cones and will go slow.
as a parallel track, PC build/repair is pretty easy but underappreciated and definitely a marketable skill. This could include building peripherals, keyboards, especially, which i consioder a really valuable skill.
This is a complex set of constraints, and people in Arizona, Nevada and Colorado etc have different perspectives on this. In my mind Lakes Powell/ Mead running low is somehow congruent to the /ZB Treasury futures contract (30 year) running lower, somehow there's a common economic invariant lurking in there.
The somewhat brighter bullet points: Northern California reservoirs are doing prety well, and the Bureau of Reclamatn can again kick the can by draining Flaming Gorge but i think this only works every few years:

been awhile sincei looked but i thought Drysdale's Effective Rust was a truly excellent book and aimed at simlar audience
Not bad, curious about price, but as noted by others in thread, the only really special thing are the keycaps, given those you could replicate functionality on any ZMK/QMK keyboard. I might try this as a layer of a glove 80 or ZSA voyager, s.t. like that
here's 2 oft cited papers on PFOF so people can think about this, general conclusions are there is more possibility of actions detrimental to retail traders in options markets

Interesting, how did you choose APL?
i worked in APL2 fulltime years ago, big asset backed bond models, big as in some of the largest workspaces the IBM support people had ever seen. Never occurred to me to pick it up again, but i have been looking for the Polivka/Pakin book i learned out of (the edition prior to their APL2 edition).
reddit thread w/sources seem credible but 11 months only and still dependent on single funder

guide to participating from home, watch:
- vix futures, front month has only hit 40 3x in 20 years, tho for sustained period starting late 2007 when the contracts were a lot lower volume
- /zb /zn futures contracts, BBB OAS spread on St. Louis fed website,
- credit default swaps, i can't find free public website
- some people say you can get insight from polymarket, other betting sites
- GDP now on Atlanta Fed website, note gold haircut
- other sites monitor options' large buys, skews and dex/gex (gamma exposure) on indexes, futures and single stocks but those sites are $ subscription
Don't give up on mainline, but branch out to small/medium bus ops. You have to go to as many meetups as you can, perfect your elevator pitch, make github and online presence look nice, etc.
One niche, there's lots of people looking for help coding stock/futures trading apps in sierra chart, ninja and multi trader, etc. These are in c++, c#/framework, python, mostly.
On the latter, work your network, seek out busines owners/managers who are in need of IT/web/database/email list type work and have people vouch for your tech cred/integrity (very important)

you can also try a decent number at best buy and maybe other specialty retailers but:
with the gaming oriented brands you often have to turn down RGB effects to make them tolerable, certain brands have switches that actuate high in the range of motion and it's often not easy to tell if the switches are soldered or have swappable sockets

also the latest/greatest in split ergos seem to be the svalboards, ordered a 1 finger cluster to try but have no info about them yet
For anybody that's at some stage of keeb curious but overwhelmed by info, look up keyboard meetups in reddit subs /r/MechanicalKeyboards/ and /r/ErgoMechKeyboards/
It's just a lot easier to ask a live human
Thanks for this, very enjoyable.
When i worked with a few dozen APL2 devs, there was a devoted clique who would always remind us of ways in which Sharp APL was superior to IBM's tho i can't remember details. I only remember STSC and APL2 dialects weren't all that different. And now, when i do C#, linq and kotlin, it seems like a romanization (and update) of APL.
Kotlin's ex-lead posted a nice graph of prog languages, the axes being immutable encouraged vs not and 20th vs 21st century. Unfortunately paywalled but the cluster in lower right, immutable by default/21st century (swift, rust, scala, kotlin, f#), is a really nice group of languages.
Come to think of it, the 21st century/mutable by default is a nice group also: groovy, C#, golang, TS, Dart and Bright's D.

is there any lineage between this project and ReactiveX family developed at endjin now?
this might help, primer on JI ET and pythagorean intervals for violinists in string quartet context. Good demos 30 seconds in

what do you mean obsolete, read about PTX target tests:

was expecting mostly pre 19th century, but good list: Bill Evans, Gymnopedie, JSB Cello suite. Recently i've been doing Bartok, SHosta, Ives, minimalists, Ligeti, Messiaen, Varèse, Hindemith, you know the kind of stuff not often described as relaxing
mostly i see these mentions in threads about zig, odin and vale langs (might be others, don't watch that closely), where people look at C, C++, golang arena and dive into pre 1.0 releases and then speculate about these langs getting marquee apps, funding, industry penetration in e.g. gaming, crypto, ML or trading and staying power.
