It doesn't matter whether the market stays up over 30 years. If it crashes at the wrong time (especially if that's after you've retired) and you have 100K left, you have only 3 years to recover, not 30.

And even if the market recovers in 3 years, by then you're left with a fraction of your capital.

This is not exactly revolutionary. I have multiple pairs of bike shorts with slim elastic pockets in that spot. (Actually, a few inches higher, which is easier to reach without bending, and doesn't get in the way any more than the proposed location.)

What percentage of current investment is speculation for share price growth vs for dividends?

Python, JavaScript mostly. Not sure the processor (it’s a 2019 model year, tho). 16GB memory.

Snappier/more responsive UI-wise than the 16” MB Pro I got from work, fwiw.

Being able to look stuff up on the go. (Turns out this laundromat is closed because COVID; where’s the next nearest one? What time does that plane land, again? And what color was the sweater I bought my mom last year, so I can get her a sweater than matches?)

There’s a pretty good chance your monitor is too low and your keyboard too high relative to one another. Make sure it’s comfortable to type and that you can look directly forward at your monitor while doing so rather than looking downward, which induces slouching and curling your shoulders, which in turn makes it more difficult to sit upright.

Make sure your desktop is at the right height for you to sit with leg joints at right angles rather than adjusting yourself or your chair to a desk that’s at some “standard” height.

History.

Firebug was the best and nearly only tool out there for a while.

Then Google took a page from Apple’s early OS X book: bundle great developer tools so developers want to write apps on your platform and not port them to others.

Meanwhile Firebug was suffering and non-performant due to not having access to the browser core. Chrome’s developer tools soon outstripped it.

Mozilla decided to rebuild Firebug’s features internally where they’d have the right permissions to perform well and debug properly and do all the fancy things Chrome’s did.

Developers loathed Internet Explorer but had to develop for it anyway, and I assume Microsoft added tools to it to keep their browser from being blackballed entirely.

Safari? Who knows.
