In this economy it's really a luxury to nitpick about the job when there are bills to pay, mouths to feed, a roof over one's head is a must. The well of have a lot more options regarding this.

This reminds me of the time when I got lost when visiting LA about 20 year ago. Asked some guy on the street for help. He gave me directions as he was smirking at me. Turns out he pointed me in the opposite direction from where I was going to and most likely he was just being a dick.

Content farms, whether AI generated or not their incentive is to pump out low quality high output. Most of their content even it involves a human narrator are heavily packed with AI generated media.

New AI narration is a dead giveaway to us but many people can’t tell they’re not listening to a human. It is very concerning.

AI content including youtube videos, podcasta and such need a stamp that content was AI generated.

How about don’t do that at all in digital public squares?

I guess there’ll be less collaboration and less sharing with the outside world, people will still collaborate/share but within smaller circles. It’ll bring an end to the era of sharing is caring interent as it doesn’t benefit anyone but few big players

I remember my first PC had a HD of around 20Mb. It was vast at the time, I had so much software to keep me busy for a while that I I felt overwhelmed. Amongst those there was Windows 3.0, taking probably a whopping 3mb

Society does need quiet thoughtful people even though they’re usually outside the spotlight and harder to get their recognition.

Personally Im more on the introveted side and that is due, I think, to a sensory sensitivity. I could switch extroverted but it’s exhausting, possibly less if I drink but it’s still taxing. No amount of personality retraining would change that for me

Linux isn’t perfect but it’s far away from the compromises one needs to make to use Windows. It’s weird frogs are comfortable slowly boiling even when Microsoft turns on the heat to the max.
