Probably want to internally build some products. Makes for much better returns when you own 50+% of a company vs. ~20% via traditional funding.

Android might never prove better. When/if it ever does then I will reevaluate and deal with being a fast follower rather than a first mover.

However, it is premature at this stage to state that Android is the better platform for startups.

Free apps do well on Android. Paid apps (Outright & Free + In App Purchases) generate more revenue on iOS. Being able to show traction is important for startups but, being able to show increased revenue is equally if not more important.

Until Android on a whole proves to be more lucrative to monetize apps, many developers will continue building iOS first (imho).

This just shows how poor Google's think tank model of operation is. I mean how can all those people working on the Buzz team overlook this? With all their time spent analyzing which shade of blue they should use why not just ask people how they feel about an auto following model?

Worse in the sense that its diminishing the value of being an entrepreneur and CEO. For example, if PHD's were being handed out to kids a 40 year old's MBA is now depreciated. Same goes for the status and worth of the word and title CEO / Entrepreneur.
