Roadie (roadie.io) | Backend engineer | Full-time | Remote in EU timezones | https://careers.roadie.io/o/software-engineer-platform

Roadie is a VC-backed DevTools startup based in Europe. We are building a SaaS version of the popular open-source project backstage.io. Backstage is a service catalog and developer portal created by Spotify.

Our engineering team is small but strong. Mostly senior ex-Workday and Spotify. We have raised multiple-millions of dollars from US VCs and have customers despite being founded only 9 months ago.

Email me (Founder & CEO) if you have questions. david@roadie.io

I have never owned a kindle before. Should I wait for the Kindle Voyage (wait about 6 weeks and pay $100 extra) or buy a Kindle Paperwhite now?

It appears the main improvement is the resolution but it's difficult for me to get a sense of how important this is without having used a Paperwhite.

I recently wrote a calculator which will tell you how many days it will take to run an A/B test to 90% significance.

You just plug in

1. the number of pageviews your page got in the last month

2. the number of conversions that resulted from those pageviews

I agree that the color is too bright. There's sometimes a fine line between being intrusive and not being noticed at all.

For example, I don't show the banner until you're 30% of the way through the article because I don't want to annoy people who haven't even started reading (and thus have got zero value).

The orange banner will disappear mods remove the ?ref=hn from the URL.

I'm the author obviously.
