I use this on iOS and it still leaves a lot of animations that could be sped up.

While the service is being promoted as ‘interest-free’, some were quick to point out that all transactions are subject to a “$4 flat fee”.

It was on by default for a lot of users.

It was on by default for me.

It was enabled by default on my installation, which is extra surprising considering I have all forms of address bar and search suggestions disabled except browser history.

You aren't even comparing the same setting in your screenshots. app.shield.optoutstudies.enabled is set to true in stable and nightly.

This actually seems to mean that you are opted in. The setting is extremely poorly named. "app.shield.optoutstudies.enabled" must mean "Are Studies, which are "opt-out", enabled"?

I'm able to keep about 15 years of muscle memory for Windows shortcuts because of this excellent program. So glad it exists.

Very curious to know more about legal (licensing?) problems doing VR work on Apple computers. I tried to search but didn't find anything that seemed related. Is it specific to Oculus and Vive hardware? I know of other companies who literally use Apple notebooks as the monitor for their VR rigs.

Check Amazon and eBay. I got my sister a great used i7 Thinkpad for Christmas / graduation for around $200. I added more RAM and an SSD but those were pretty inexpensive too. She's been super happy with it.

The language in these announcements is so cliched and tired. You're not "joining" anything, you were bought and now you work somewhere else. This isn't a baby shower or an engagement announcement, if anything your users are probably unhappy that their product is vaporizing, not thrilled for your Incredible Journey.
