I use spring boot and java/kotlin, but professionally and for side-projects, changes are "instant" on side-projects and greenfield projects. Legacy enterprise is another story, there the answer is "it depends".

Use an IDE like Intellij. I have coded a lot of Python, back to java/Kotlin now, and I prefer it.

Why the hell would I do that? It's not like anyone gives a shit about being nice anymore. In fact, being a total asshole like me is the new norm. So, if you want to fit in with the rest of us, just be a prick and don't worry about being nice.

You can often mix low-code into a solution that requires some code, I did that recently creating a custom review app for a Shopify store:

1. Airtable (low-code) to be a database + submitting new data 2. python code to sync to shopify 3. frontend liquid code to display reviews.

I have built a lot of low-code with Airtable for a 5-6 million dollar business (revenue per year). Product development system, warehouse management++.

And just to be clear: The good no-code systems are still built by coders.

I have ranked a lot of websites, short answer: content.

Basically just follow Google's guidelines and have the content and you can rank in highly competitive areas where there are much larger players.

I would recommend using something like tonedear.com and practicing ear training mostly. I played a lot of classical music when I was 14-15, my biggest regret is not focusing more on ear training :)

My experience is totally different: Both from my experience as employee, and on the hiring side.

Primarily, the employees are pushing for working overtime. There are a few reasons:

1. Many just don't do anything at all in the extra hours (remote workers are especially prone to this) 2. Some people want the overtime pay, and do not care about the reduced productivity 3. Some people just use the time to learn new stuff, I must admit I did that myself as a developer. Though, I always learned stuff relevant to work. 4. Some people do not have much life outside work, been there myself

Very seldom is it management who really pushes for overtime in mye experience. IMO the scale at which employees "fuck" employees, is much larger than the other way around. Context: I am in my mid twenties and have employed around 50 people in the nordic countries+

With regards to blocking sites to concentrate, adding a comment as to why it was blocked in the first place might help. It is something I try now to see how effective it is.

I genuinely think I have a great replacement for "signing" software, it is much more efficient:

1. I just email the contract 2. Include in the email something along the lines:

Signature Employee / or reply to the email as confirmation of the employment contract:..............................

Answer: "I approve the contract in its entirety" “DATE"

I cannot imagine that sometime in this universe, someone will say: "Well, they answered that they approved the contract, but because they did not 'sign' the contract it is not valid"

I think signature software is just complicating things by trying to "digitize an old concept".

The nice thing about this is that I have automated it further by having an Airtable table with fields, and then using an automation to send an email based on the fields in the table. Hourly rate, name, job type etc. for the employment contracts. Before I used adobe sign and it was much more hassle to make contracts.

I expect my comment to take a big hit on Docusign's market cap :p

We try to custom make most systems we use with Airtable. Everything from our returns system, product development, order planning, marketing planning etc.

The thing is, if there is only 1-3 non-admin persons at a time having access to the chrome profile it is not much of a risk.

Say you have a small purchase department, you can have purchasing@company.com, for customer service cs@company.com, marketing@company.com for marketing.

It allows for faster onboarding. Even if it is just one person using the profile, it is better to make a general company chrome profile for many tasks since other people can take over the Chrome profile if a person leaves the company or changes position.

But yeah, there are some problems with the risk of exposing private passwords++

Not sure if you would call this "enterprise", but for fammesportswear.com, we use Airtable for documenting sample tests, custom system for return handling, maintaining list of suppliers etc.

One issue for us with Google form is that file uploads cannot be done by non-google accounts, this works well in Airtable.

I have bought both the Remarkable and all the Onyx Boox Max devices.

I ended up selling the Remarkable since I stopped using it after University.

For most textbooks a 13 inch e-reader is much better.

For me it is worth it.

Maybe a bit off topic, but a targeted cover letter for the specific job you are applying for is also important. I have a template in Latex that I have used on all jobs after university :)

I think his point is that if someone recommends something to others, the more money they earn for recommending it is proportional to how much that person would be willing to mislead potential buyers / not be totally honest / be biased.
