I'd say go where your users hang out. For me it was LinkedIn and reddit. Don't spend money on ads, it's simply not worth it at the beginning. Cold outreach works, the not so secret is that the message should be appealing. If you get bored reading your own outreach message, there's a high chance your audience will be too and you'll end up in spam as fast as I eat a chocolate tablet.

I was discussing this some time ago with a friend, I get the feeling that error messages these days try too much to apologize instead of providing the user with hints and clear explanations to solve the issue. It's all about emoji faces crying "boohoo there was an error" with a childish tone.

I have started working on that idea for a little more than a month now and it's been constantly amazing to feel how fast I can build and deploy my ideas on the cloudflare stack (using Pages, Workers and D1) for now.

For now it does not have millions of websites available to search through but still 250K and growing fast (crawling constantly through a cloudflare worker)

I learnt about this project with the recent disappearance of one of its creator, Nikaus Wirth. What I found interesting, among other things, is the Text User Interface at the core of the OS. With the rise of ChatGPT and conversational search, I thought it may be useful to revisit such projects in the light of this new era of text and conversations first.

I relate with OP about the difficulty to memorize advanced commands from vim. Nevertheless, I cannot go back to a modeless editor and found a happy middleground using VSCode with the vim extension. It's not hardcore vim for sure but I feel that I get the best of both worlds.

Your comment covers lots of interesting topics. Talking only about chatGPT+Bing's threat to press and content creators survival, the difference with WordPress is that you could generate revenue "on your own" through your audience. Either with ads or through subscription. Conversational search will only make people visit less websites and consume the content directly from the AI. And sometimes without attribution to the original source, meaning your chances to monetize, as the creator/journalist/publisher, fall down to zero.
