gmail is the best and worst email system on earth

they really don't know how to integrate AI into it at all, and honestly I think a part of that comes down to a little bit of column a and column b. Where column a is that they are constrained by privacy and column b is they are constrained by complete politics driven work cycles that don't allow them to rethink or rework things at all or try things out.

I'm pretty sure to do a single change it requires 50 coordination calls with like 5 different executive levels 8 kpi alignment meetings 6 product managers in varying different rooms 3 different user group studies and finally after all that you might be able to ship something but it's nothing close to what you or the user originally wanted.

such is the way of "startups"

Hm. Saying "AI cannot solve motivation" or "AI cannot solve judgment" may be too static. AI can change the conditions under which motivation or judgment appear. For many people, this is such the case.

I've started to really dislike how anthropic is operating, not very human first or friendly

aside from that, this is literally just an openapi to sdk generator, not like openai can't just generate one

This feels a lot like P / Pony / rospy. Not only that the "loci as hypergraph" framing also has a faint Milner's bigraphs feeling.

Instead of helping, the author fought against them, "from day one anyone could tell that the schemas were wrong", yet nobody helped him, and instead went to the vp and complained about them. sad. what a horrible place to work in

You as the CEO know nothing about how your business works. That's too broad of a statement and quite honestly, in my opinion and experience, wrong. There may be some who this does apply to but the vast majority that I know, it does not, and when you get to companies that are actually doing firings based on this its even less.

This is a really bad take, many on hackernews have a very skewed idea of what a CEO thinks about its employees it seems, or why firings happen in the first place.

Quite honestly the firings that are happening are the ones who are not adopting the technologies, if you're doing this you're quite literally just putting yourself in scope.

Just read coinbase today. They are culling those who are not adopting the future because they get in the way of progress. They don't help, they don't push things forward and they hold back those who do.

I would use zed, but I can't get over tabs for terminals and the file explorer doesn't refresh when new files are added from external sources, outside of that it's pretty good.
