If someone takes a photo of a public street and they happen to see me in the frame and don't do anything with it that's one thing. This is more like they are following me down the street taking photos of me just to report anything even slightly suspicious that I might do at some point.
I like graphs but google can do a way better job than that.
That's obviously true, I think the question at hand is about how much longer its run will last.
I felt bad for her until I read this which actually is her side of the story. It appears that a similar issue must have been brought to the management's attention previously since she was told to let her students do whatever they want. The incident is in clear violation of their pleads because she stopped a class to single out the person using her phone. The fact that she did not actually say anything is irrelevant here.
I think this is great. It'd be nice if google account login was available though.

The problem with Bing is not that it is not as good as Google, but rather that it IS NOT Google. People who are used to Google's design and have a bag of trick that they associate with it will not switch over to Bing even if statistical evidence finds it's results to be more relevant for all searches. Google will stay good enough for most of it's users for years to come.
