My wife has decades of music downloaded from CDs etc. It's just the music she likes, no ads/distractions/faffing about with networks etc. For her commute it works great to have just an MP3 player.

She doesn't want to listen to other music, she likes what she knows, so the benefit of recommendations etc aren't of interest either.

I created a Google Sheets with a few different pages.

I recently subscribed to a Patreon for a Youtuber that I watch, and sent them a message through the platform basically thanking them for making the comment.

This was the first time I've also become a Pateron for somebody, but I really felt like I wanted to give back/support their content.

They did respond with a nice message too so it seemed that it actually reached them.

I agree with a lot of these.

One thing i've noticed in life is that our use of aschynchronous communication methods is much more in a "respond now" fashion.

Also as a contributor to StackOverflow your point about asking questions with the right amount of information is really spot on.

Likely a lot harder to get the tolerances down on something much smaller.

I read something a while back that said you generally can't do that if it can be shown that you could remember. No idea how that works in practice though.
