The game is played on a single board shared between 2 players who take turns to play. The score of a player is computed by the number on the tiles that the player merges when playing his turn. The game ends when there are no moves remaining or someone reaches the 2048 tile. At this point, the player with the highest score wins the game.

The only services with my payment information are Heroku and Amazon. On Heroku, the first dyno is completely free and it doesn't increase the number of dynos automatically. But when you have heavy traffic, you can easily scale the number of dynos.

Amazon does charge automatically and doesn't have a limit on the maximum amount I want to spend, so there is a risk there. But then, its not too expensive even if I get a lot of traffic.

zoho.com looks nice. But it only gives 20 accounts on the free tier. Windows live domains, on the other hand, doesn't seem to have a limit on the number of accounts.

You can get a VM cheaply, but then you have to manage everything yourself. I don't have a lot of experience in this field and would be completely lost if something suddenly goes down or I need to scale. With Heroku and MongoHQ, you don't have to worry about these things anymore and its really easy to set up. And for someone like me who would need several hours in setting up everything on my own server, even the paid plans don't sound too expensive.

Mobile Development with Objective-C (for iOS) and Java (for Android). Objective-C has already been mentioned, so I vote for Java. I know I am inviting rants writing Java here, but using Java for Android app development is a lot of fun.

It all started as a discussion with my co-founder Sapan. We wanted a way to highlight our activity on StackOverflow, Github, Twitter and our blog posts while looking for jobs but couldn't find a good way to list them on our resumes or on our LinkedIn profiles. The reason that we didn't include more stats for Github was that it required OAuth and we wanted to keep it simple for the first version. We will be adding some more services soon.

I think that the only reason the algorithmic interviews are still so common is because of the difficulty in analyzing the real skills of the candidate. I have worked with guys really good at algorithms, but it is no way related to how good they are at building complex projects.

Consider this: How hard would it be to ship iOS 7 UI with a native app now?

Why would you want to ship iOS7 UI now specially on the devices that don't have iOS7 yet? It just wouldn't look good. Btw, I don't think that would be impossible to do, but it would be stupid.

I always prefer iconic interfaces as compared to the ones with just text. Try to think of one thing that you would like to find and go to gov.uk and then to manchester.gov.uk. See which one is easier to find

I am really amazed how most of the comments assume that beautiful sites cannot provide the same amount of information as their uglier counterparts.

An interesting experiment. I wonder if pointing out the weakness (constructive criticism) might be helpful as well.

True. I always feel happy that I am writing good code until I leave it untouched for a month and get back to it to realize what a mess I made. The best way I have found to tackle this is to put comments everywhere, even at places that seem to be too obvious.
