It is like Calendly, where you have a URL, and others can leave audio messages for you. Great for birthday wishes, clarifying emails over an audio message and more.

I had a need for one such tool, especially when trying to explain something to a customer who sends a lengthy email and expects a lengthy response from me. Now, I just record an audio message, share that URL to the customer when replying, and they reply back via audio message.

Made a world of difference.

Hello HN, I have been bootstrapping Hellonext (https://hellonext.co) for a while now, and we just released 2.0 for over 7,000 customers today. I thought I should share this with you as well in belief that you will get some value out of it.

We are bootstrapped (and proud) and independent. Nothing is being tracked, hence the trust banks and governments have on us. The adrenaline is still pumping for me while writing this, and we are committed to Hellonext for years to come.

Actually, yes. Especially the enterprise customers. Their legal used to give us a tough time to understand what trackers we use, this increased especially after the GDPR came into existence.

I wouldn’t say we are closing ‘BECAUSE’ of this. But it has been a contributing factor to convince the customers to trust us and literally prove a point that we are not these data-hungry people.

Plausible is the best thing that has happened to us at https://hellonext.co. Such a beautiful product, and has helped us get more customers from the EU as well, since they know that we are not really in the business of helping other companies track them and push ads down their browsers.

Bias. A huge deal in these corporates. You’re going to have to either learn how to navigate it or to live with it.

On the other hand, you will get a ton of exposure learning from others and knowing more people. That’s always there for sure at large organizations. Above all, a sense of being a part of a cult.

Great effort. But here’s why I will not be buying it:

1. Source code is EVERYTHING. Especially when it comes to my clients’.

2. $2.99/mo? Really? I understand that you have a server running where my code is stored (scary), but $2.99/month is insane.

The app could have been a wrapper or a render which allows my own code-server IP to be entered and your customizations kick in. That, would have made it much more valuable than me paying for a open source project as well as to have my proprietary information stored in your server.

This is beautiful, and love the concept. Of course, the sales pitch and the product design could be improved.

As a customer, you can maintain one single account and follow multiple products that you use and give them feedback before or after you buy the product; and you get regular updates about the changes in the feedback/feature you requested;

P.S.: Trying to build out a better landing page though. But I'm sure you can get a sense of the product once you sign up. :)

Have been having a touch time fighting Glassdoor to remove fake reviews. I have no clue whatsoever how Glassdoor verifies their reviews, and their support is probably the worst I've ever experienced with any American company. Not sure how much this is going to change or affect them. But still, thought I should tell this out.

Honestly, TRAI restored our faith. They literally saves us.

Every single time Facebook does something like this, I keep losing respect on Mark. Stand and fight. Don't run away in a war Facebook.

If this is sanctioned, it would be worth the time people have spent fighting against Free Basics than the ones who were tricked to support it.

The hardest part is that, there are Indian minds at Facebook designing these schemes for India. Such a shame on them.

I really love the idea. But the first time I saw the site, with the description, I thought, Oh god, is this just another to-do list or task management app? Well, I was convinced later. I'm going to give the app a shot. I'm going to implement this for a small team in my company (Skcript.com) to check how this works. But truly, a neat and good idea. The app looks pure.

I've been developing apps and have been using only TestFlight to distribute apps to testers. I don't think there's any other way other than TestFlight. :/
