Apple was generating (something)@icloud.com whenever you used that service. Now, it will use (something)@private.icloud.com instead. So you can ban this subdomain instantly, knowing people will be "hiding" with this service by default.

It's like blocking anondaddy, simplelogin etc but not protonmail.

You are questioning the method when people just see the need.

If you're an engineer, no matter what you say about the method, you know a country at war will make you lose all your savings. Or if you're a foreign citizen in a country that will seize your assets, even "by accident".

What if I need cron in my docker container? And ssh? And a text editor? And a monitoring agent? :P

Thankfully LXD is here to serve this need: very lightweight containers for systems, where your app runs in a complete ecosystem, but very light on the ram usage.

When you have torsocks or torify for everything, you're gonna leave your footprint through tor, whereas something like Tor Browser is designed specifically not to leave any print on the web.

Using tor directly on the kernel level means that your DNS is gonna leak. Your OS telemetry is gonna leak etc.

It's still a good idea but it should be implemented top to bottom and nothing left in between, otherwise you're de-anonymized quickly.

"Signal instantly dismissed my report"

"Telegram, another privacy-focused application, is completely invulnerable to this attack"

"Discord […] citing this as a Cloudflare issue other consumers are also vulnerable to"

"Cloudflare ended up completing patching the bug"

I wish Signal would react differently. I still remember the bubble color controversy when they changed their mind after the backlash and not before. :-)

It was already inclusive, through these means, yes. This is the real "écriture inclusive".

I've seen your other contributions on this post and I think I'm done exchanging with you. You nitpicked just the right thing and forgot all about the rest of my comment. Have a nice day, you need some love.

"Mesdames et Messieurs" is inclusive. You've heard that for as long as you can remember.

"Statut : marié(e)" is also inclusive. Check your tax return.

The median "." for example "marié.e" is also inclusive and is probably what you're against. Please hate it right, we all use inclusive, even in English (ladies and gentlemen for example). Being inclusive is good, you're doing it too.

If I come to your house, destroy your door, steal your mom's dinner for 4 ppl, are we both cheating?

How about we compare with something actually worth comparing for? For example switching channels when there's the ad break, or turning the sound off, etc.

When I download something, I'm not "stealing it". When I block an ad, I'm not stealing either. I didn't remove 10$ from Google's bank account that was there before.

Yes, thank you for your comment. Altcoins are terrible, NFTs are terrible, it was all a trend and I'm glad it's gone now. Bitcoin is different, always has been, always will be. Bitcoin is the digital gold. In my opinion it's not a currency and will not function like a currency but rather like gold. You don't buy your latte with gold, but you own gold stocks. Same thing with Bitcoin.

It's the safest, oldest, most tested blockchain out there. You can't beat that.

You understood nothing and gave your opinion. Congratulations, tell us more about how offtopic you are?

This proof of work doesn't mean crypto currency, it doesn't mean coins, it doesn't mean buying or selling tokens. It means proof of work. More exactly, having to put your computer at work in order to solve an equation. If you do that, the server lets you in. If you don't, you can't enter.

This is the original proof of work. It's also proof of work when you solve a captcha, it's just a different proof of work, a human, mental one. Here, it's a computer one, meaning in order to access a website a thousand times, you would have to run the proof of work a thousand times, so a thousand times more ressource.

I really wished you gave the article a read, before saying Torproject is a shame. Maybe you are?

Firefox can render pages faster than Chrome, if it still has a laggy scroll on macOS, I won't be using it.

Every six months, I go back to Firefox for a day or two, only to notice this scroll lag. Every time.

Try it. Adopt it. :)

Just a few weeks ago, facial recognition was added and that was it for me. I finally made the switch from Google Photos and iCloud to immich. It's your self-hosted google photos alternative, with image recognition, a map, sharing folders publicly, or with other users on your server.

Some parts will be buggy though, like face detection, or memories. But the whole "backup & sync" part is very reliable, I've never had any issues.

Wow. DeFi? Be your own bank? Ordinals? No dear, we are here to hate and give our opinion on something we don't understand!

Yes. France relies only on Flamanville 3, and only Flamanville 3 powers the entire country.

Germany keeps polluting. Nature cares about co2, nature doesn't care about your economical strategy. Co2 is what matters the most, and your renewable, while being 75% of your electricity, doesn't help at all.

Also, you forget to mention why Germany really gave up on nuclear. Enjoy Russian's blood money, Schröder, people are willing to defend your treason act, even in 2023.
