I take the point on the security of physical + pin for protection. I guess I'd just love a solution where I could simply switch between accounts without physically swapping something or having a multi-SIM phone.
I hadn't thought about the security of being a physical token. Feels like you could do 2FA using someone's email (or similar) to protect against some scenarios, but take the point that someone having to steal something physical changes the attack surface.

It's disappointing the article doesn't give any actionable detail of the recall. From what I can see, Hangzhou Xiongmai is a components manufacturer, not a retail brand, so there's no practical way to identify an affected device with the information here.
It's disappointing that, before trying to shut them down with legal threats, record labels don't try to partner and monetise sites like Mixcrate. While I'm making an assumption here, I think it's very likely to be the case.
No one is going to hear a track in a DJ mix, then NOT buy it because they heard it in a mix. It's just not a substitute for anything that labels are selling. In fact, the opposite is true, that people are much more likely to go and buy a track because the mix helped them discover it.
A large number of folks uploading mixes to Mixcrate would be amateur, making no money from whatever promotional value using a track may give them. They do it for the love of it. Some would have been DJs who do mix for profit. I'd suggest some low-cost licensing system, paying a few dollars a month to use licensed tracks would be a decent solution for both.
Sites like Mixcrate closing down kills two revenue streams for labels, 1) referral/discovery purchases and 2) a direct licensing model.
Outlook unlikely to be a good option unfortunately, I just need a calendar for Mac and Android.
It's a shame, I'd pay for it if they kept running it as a standalone product and they might be able to use that as a channel to get me using their other products over time... but alas, I will just stop using their product all together.

I used a Windows 8 machine the other day. I've used OSX the last few years, but used Windows for a couple of decades prior.
I was so confused. It was difficult to work out how to open apps. I also got stuck in the full screen start menu replacement (whatever that's called) and I had to ask for help to get back to the desktop.
Give me XP over 8 any day. Security issues aside, that was a gem of an OS.
Seems like the Microsoft OS team hit the panic button soon after iOS & Android gained traction and have been clawing for innovation without considering actual use cases

I disagree with "insanely high". There are junior, mid and senior roles out there on the market. I can't comment specifically on this course, but there are courses which provide the groundwork for a junior role in the space of 4-6 months. I did one, built some projects and got a couple of job offers within two months of finishing.
Interesting that these pages avoid any direct reference to Windows 8. It's only referred to as "the new Windows".
