I don't believe anyone wants to create a new legal system, but the reality is the vast majority of sexual assault cases aren't resolved in court due to existing social issues. These "judges, jurries and prosecutors" are just people who don't want to associate with potentially dangerous people regardless of the legal outcome. Beyond legal consequences to crime there have always been social consequences too - I think the major difference compared to the past is that these companies put out press releases instead of just blacklisting someone and moving on.

This is visually shocking, but the sheer amount of money taken from workers by wage theft eclipses this issue completely. Theft is normalized at all levels of American society.

If that’s the case this person should never answer an email outside of working hours without getting paid for it. Any time they spend thinking about work outside of working hours should be compensated as well. If there is a work emergency she should not get involved unless they will get overtime.

Wage theft is one of the most prevalent forms of theft in the United States. Employers are literally underpaying workers for the amount of time they spend working, which to me seems even more lazy, dishonest and delusional than taking a 30 minute break.

As long as the work is getting done there is no problem with breaks.

In many cases police are also criminals and because of their job they are above the law, which to me is much scarier than other criminals out there.

A vasectomy does not inhibit testosterone production and the hormones in existing birth control have been shown to cause blood clots, migraines and other serious issues for women taking them.

Condoms require proper use every time and are not as effective as other methods.

There are also ongoing investigations into gangs within the LA Sheriff department and a fraud lawsuit coming from the City of Compton against the sheriffs. LASD might be one of the most corrupt police departments in the country.

From my perspective people who aren’t concerned about contracting and spreading covid are the short term thinkers - they just want to have things back to how they used to be right now without any thought about mitigating the threat.

Vaccine records are nothing new - I remember needing to get a meningitis vaccine to go to college 15 years ago.

Not everyone wants to go space, there is something nice about enjoying the stars from your own backyard or on a camping trip. I think this comes close to space pollution if they aren’t able to provide a tangible benefit to people on earth.

Continuing to let someone degrade you because “they’re doing the best they can do” is equally cruel. All relationships take work, if one party isn’t willing to work on it then thats not a relationship worth putting energy into.

Saying “I live next to a cop” doesn’t provide much proof either.

I think a big issue is that in the US people aren’t willing to acknowledge how blatantly corrupt ALL politicians are. People are really caught up in the tribalism of the two party system.

The fact that the police are often the ones issuing the press passes seems like a serious conflict of interest: why would they give passes out to news outlets that are critical of their departments? They have almost nothing to gain from doing so.
