Traditional offset printing company with a plug / PSA: below 500 copies print on demand services are great. Above 500 copies going with a traditional offset printing house will get you a better price. Of course you take on more inventory risk that way.

You also get access to more finishing and cover options, etc.

The disconnect for me is Palantir. Thiel's company provides the infrastructure for some of the gravest privacy violations done by our government.

If Thiel is rooting for Tech in the race vs Politics, why is he investing his resources in a company that converts Tech advances to personal freedom limiting Political power?

Apple is only issuing debt because all of its cash is overseas. At this point the interest is cheaper than paying US taxes.

This is what companies are supposed to do by design. If consumers prefer companies with different behaviors, they will have a competitive advantage.

Companies are constantly in imbalance but heading towards what consumers want. If you were to engineer "perfect" actors, Soviet style, you'd get perfect balance in the initial second and nightmare scenarios in the long term.

You say in your letter to Apple that “Three months is a long time to go unpaid”. But you seem happy to restrict us to being paid once, and never being able to earn from our work ever again, while granting you the rights to exploit our work for your benefit for all eternity….

Seems like he's getting paid once, but would like royalties on top.

It's a legitimate concern, like having a spammy clickbait article.

Can the site still get users' time and attention without stealing Github's branding?

Two questions:

1. How will this help with wealth that's already accumulated? I get how this will slow further accumulation.

2. How about capital flight? If the US enacts a policy like this, what stops the super rich from moving to other countries?

Technology provides leverage on ability and luck, and in the process concentrates wealth and drives inequality. I think that drastic wealth inequality is likely to be one of the biggest social problems of the next 20 years. [2] We can—and we will—redistribute wealth, but it still doesn’t solve the real problem of people needing something fulfilling to do.

What's the best case realistic scenario for redistributing wealth?
