1) The dragging freeze is likely my update loop fighting with the window move – I’ll look into throttling/suspending updates while dragging.

2) The drive text layout is indeed bad. I’ll rework that UI so each drive gets its own proper line.

So AdBlock plus now sells advertisements.

I have no problem watching ads on legitimate sites and generally I'm avoiding sites with many ads even if the content is legit.

I understand that some ads must exist for good known reasons, but the way that adblock tries to monetize the whole thing, is something I don't like.

Materialistic is what I use and I'm very satisfied with the app, the lack of a downvote button is an issue but I can live with out it. Good job Hidro!

I think it has to do with the user's karma, a post from a user with heavy karma ranks higher, if you noticed there is another post ranked 8th from a user with 20000+ karma and only 5 votes.

As for the reason, it's normally trying to get money out of them, or just to take a website offline for a while (e.g. the DDoS is from a competitor).

What about Password Safe "Passwddsafe" I use it om my computer and android and I'm very satisfied. And of course the fact that is designed by Bruce Schneier is a plus for me.

I use keepassx, it will allow you to keep a local repository of all of your passwords and sensitive information encrypted and accessible to all of your team members.

Commonkey is another great program and is free for teams of three.

What you and others said, you could also create multiple domains,trusts, set up GPOs for users and user accounts and have fun.

Of course you can always put them on eBay!

As far as I know you can't just delete your account completely, deleting all your comments would be unfair, since the whole discussion would likely break apart.

But you can try to send an email either at info@ycombinator.com or pg@ycombinator.com and ask to make your account inactive, you could also change your email and delete any personal information.

First think to consider is what you're interested in, there are many places to look at, like github.com, sourceforge.com (lot of orphaned projects), openhatch.org, google code of course and you should also check http://open-advice.org, is somewhat different from the others:

The book is outdated but still has a tone of useful information ant it fully covers HTTP 1.1, which is still the most up-to-date version of HTTP protocol. According to W3Techs only 1.2% of all websites support HTTP/2 (August 2015).

I only know topsy.com, never used their api but they're twitter's only valid partner on trends and stats etc. http://about.topsy.com/support/api/ i hope it helps.
