Except for the fact iMessage is well known for its RCEs as well: search for "iMessage RCE" you will find them.

Furthermore (this may not be the case anymore), iMessage is more privileged than other apps and so once exploited an attacker has a far greater reach.

Why do we need to add further complexity into the already complex thing that are browsers?

As the post mentions at the beginning, this can already be done with pre-processing. What do we gain by having more syntax sugar?

At Google's scale, I don't think there are enough humans on Earth to deal with the abuse.

I disagree.

Some time ago, a person (on HN, although it may have been somewhere else) did an estimate of what it would take for Google to review all 500 hrs of video uploaded to YouTube every minute.

The result was that Google could more than afford it.

Based on that I don't see any reason Google couldn't add more humans to deal with these ban appeals.

What would prevent it from working with ncurses programs?

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is the ability to play without logging in on lichess.

Very convenient when you want to play with a friend.

In a certain way, I find the fact that everybody can make deepfakes positive for society.

What annoys me the most about the whole "Huawei fiasco" is the fact people were going to install proprietary product to run 5G, which meant that it ended in a strange speculation game. He doesn't seem at all to be someone in the security research field.

Either he has those reaction because this is a mainstream podcast and purposely tries to have a "dumb" reaction for his audience (like in a children's film) or he doesn't seem to understand hacker culture at all.
