Thank you. If you want to check it out its a pretty easy deploy with win/mac/lin-- i havent tried, but probably could even deploy in WSL. I am having fun "working" on it. I know its dangerous, but I got the evolve tool, feeding the teach tool and spitting out tools it can used.

Again, i know this isnt that safe in practice- so i recommend using the built in restrictions. On my end so far the 3 tools it made on its own are --

check_disk_usage Check disk usage for a specified path and store the results

bash_shortcuts Display common bash command shortcuts for various tools and systems

streamline_bash_script_execution Read and execute a bash script from a specified file path

I checked out the archive and came across https://simon.datasette.cloud/data/chatgpt_public_messages?_...

I’m wondering if the archive missed something or what this random statement from the system is about. It seems to be telling itself who it is and setting a restriction on what it knows. I know if it’s not trained on data past a certain point, it cant know it, but still i wonder if you could intercept that and change the cutoff date (if even possible), would that have any effect on anything. But then again, I am probably reading to much into it because it seems to be coming from system.

2023-03-26 04:10:49 - [system] : You are ChatGPT, a large language model trained by OpenAI. Knowledge cutoff: 2021-09 Current date: 2023-03-25

I read somewhere on their site or in GitHub that files in the home directory are encrypted when you disconnect and when you connect again the encrypted file is restored and so you have files back. If you were to install a program with apt however when you log in again that will be gone.

I don't agree with you that the addiction, need and nicotine + other triggers will remain with me until the end of time.

Deprogramming is part of the process of quitting to smoke. I do now never want to smoke.

First I want to say I don't want you to start smoking again, nor go through something painful. I will admit I have a habit of being negative about things-- so I can't help but to wonder, because you sound so confident.

Would you say that in the time you quit smoking you experienced a time where "The chips were down" so to say? I'm not talking about something small. Im talking things got real real. Cause that's usually when the switch appears.

I have noticed lately that the "Are you still there" message has gone away. While it is nice when you are awake, it sucks when you fall asleep and wake up on season 6 of something when last you knew you were on season 2. Then you have to figure out exactly what episode you fell asleep on, not impossible but can be a pain.

I'm sure it varies by provider/location, but the one I am with is decently priced and if I do a bandwidth test its only about 5MBPS slower when connected compared to when I am not. I forget what the upload was, but it was good enough for me.

I'm not sure I agree with this decision. People have different tastes and when looking at stars I would say anything between 3 and 5 is a good indication that it might be worth checking out.

If you limit that to just thumbs up or thumbs down whatever gets the most votes is what its going to rate. There is no "partial thumb" option to know if its neutral

Google's official response: This isn't an ad; the beauty in the Assistant is that it invites our partners to be our guest and share their tales.

Who at google thought the best way to phrase this was by using the one line, even someone who doesn't have kids or normally watch Disney films associates with the exact movie people are complaining the add is about.

Android security is a joke. Seriously. Don't use an Android phone.

Can confirm it sucks. Android Security Patch Level on my phone is 2016-01-01. Funny cause on my old different manufacturer phone before this one I had a more recent security patch. I am pretty sure some nasty stuff came out between now and then.

Can't tell if Android is the issue, the phone manufacturer or both.

How much safer would 'recreational users' be if they had a legal, clean (pure), supply and a place to use it where they are monitored?

I don't have any stats to provide, but if your interested (as far as heroin) check out the Netherlands. Last i knew they had a program.

Edit: I believe the Netherlands have had their program since sometime in the 90's, so there should be data available.

Not sure about the US, but there has been significant overdoses and fatalities relating to fentanyl and other related.

Same here in the US. I live in a heavily effected area and its always the same thing fentanyl. People are used to taking a certain dose so that's what they do not knowing fentanyl is in there and it usually results in a death unless someone has or can get narcan there quickly.

Part of me wonders why they don't just do a little first and then do more, but I guess I get it- they are addicted and they just want their fix ASAP.

Same here. Started off with home, upgraded to pro and I get the add too. I'm wondering if people that started off with pro get the message.

Again, not justifying the add- but I wouldn't be surprised if its because our accounts were at one time linked to home.

One thing I liked about my 5 minutes on google plus was how easy it was to filter groups out of my post. Yea FB has filters now, but I think google did it better.

Agreed. Does not say anything about being able to post or being able to interact. I wonder what the add situation is like on that app. Can't decide if someone wants to help get info out or if they are capitalizing on the current situation
