awesome post!
Project based but on-site for like one or two hours. Something where they consume a public api and build a UI usually a list on it. Will allow you to see their dev setup, etc... This will give you by far the most signals.
Discussions around state management, js libraries (react, vue, etc...), testing strategies (storybook, etc...) should also give you some signals too on their experience.
Anyone can explain "the bank is closed" thing? Any legitimacy to this or just CZ attempting to calm the crowd to stop the withdrawls?
Like a good movie, every time I ready this, I enjoy reading it :)
This is a great article.
I once gave a version of this to a manager and he replied by telling me that nothing gets done without a deadline.
He kinda made a point. Curious to see what people think about this?
This is great!
I'm creating a newsletter where I'll be posting tips and lessons I learned building and maintaining software in production.
Would love a subscription or a share if you like the posts.
Also let me know what you think! Would be great to get feedback on the posts.
The post mortem is really well written but I had the same thoughts. They upgraded the machines hardware before rolling back the latest config updates.

I think Twitter should allow trusted/editorial account that shows prominently (even part of the tweet itself) on world leaders tweets.
This will be NYTs, Washington Post, etc... of the world.
The big plus here is we return the editorial part of these institutions. Imo, these used to be net positive on the society (see Watergate during Nixon)
Twitter will pick the list of editors (kind of what they currently do with the verified account) The bar to be an editor needs to be high and a trusted source of news.
This is awesome!
Zoom buying it instead would be huge
Agree. The backend tells you what is allowed and you override it and it shows that it is allowed now :)
The real issue would have been if the user did these actions and there was no backend validations on them. The video does not cover this.
