Or, they are just this stupid.

The writing has been on the wall for quite some time. It became quite obvious when the Arduino wave took the hold and people started to design their own PCBs and realized that they can get their designs done in China much cheaper and faster. It was by now over 10 years ago - this was the moment when the opportunity was really lost.
The most important aspect is to save/conserve the equipment and knowledge so it would be possible for somebody else to take over. Something like this happened with Polaroid - a group of enthusiasts got Polaroid equipment and managed to partially restore the development of Polaroid integral instant film (the one where everything is packed into single package). Unfortunately the much more beautiful and photo like "peel apart" instant film was already scraped by both Polaroid and Fuji. I would even consider this a cultural vandalism, similar to destroying important cultural artifacts.
What you claim is simply wrong. The problem was not that the doctors ignored religious superstition, but the Christian customs had been altered over the time and touching the dead was actually act of compassion - there were no impurity laws in late Christianity like it was in Judaism.
Is this yin, yang somehow measurable? If not then there is a fundamental problem.
Also Western medicine is very well aware of side effects, it's actually one of the fundamental concepts. For example it knows that taking Paracetamol is good against pain, but increases risk to the liver, especially when taken with alcohol. It's also very well aware of causes of fever and doesn't recommend lowering it for the sake of it, only from certain dangerous level. It also knows that taking antibiotics affects gut bacteria, so it's often recommended to take also probiotics. It knows that some medicine could affect women differently, especially when they are pregnant or are breast feeding. The list goes on, it's never black and white.
Why not apply scientific method to Traditional Chinese Medicine and use double blinded placebo controlled trials to test its validity? In the end also modern medicine is using exactly this method and can treat substances using the black box method.
The main wrong lesson learned was to promote Chrome instead of Firefox (also in what many HN readers have been guilty of).
JavaScript is hilarious through and through.
It looks like people need a new legislation to protect against such abuses.
Perhaps exaggerated, but the point remains - saying No has been made considerably harder for a regular user.
Isn't it the symptom of current time - you have to blatantly self promote yourself? Or is it still easier to let your work speak for you instead of noisy self promotion?
I wonder if some external factors are at play like influx of people from different societies. There is now more wider cap also in England as presented here https://www.theguardian.com/education/2025/mar/10/boys-widen...
Interestingly earlier study found non existent cap in more equal societies https://www.theguardian.com/education/2008/may/30/schools.uk...
I have similar criticism about the possible causation of the recent study. This research doesn't disprove innate reasons, it only shows that correlation is not dependent on age but exposure time.
Their venom is protein based so what can they do?
What would be feed stock for this?
Liars going to lie, ehh? No, the reason for this milirarny operatia was to exterminate Ukrainian nation, erase it from the history. Destroy and disperse it. There is enough proof for this, starting with the Putin's manifest about non existence of Ukrainians.
The only reason why Russia is so much against NATO is the article 5, because it makes attacking peaceful nations expensive and risky for Russia.
It only deceives.
You are unfortunately not understanding how you are being deceived. Confederate in this store didn't flee. They won and there really is the Real America on Long Island.
The only reason Russia is against NATO is the article 5 - it makes attacking peaceful nations more expensive and risky for them. That is all there is.
You could have just written that you hate Jews. Could have been shorter. If we inherited the Rome, we also inherited its moral debts. The uniqueness of the situation of Jews doesn't invalidate our moral obligations. Brits could have claimed the Palestine for themselves - it was a Roman Christian territory after all, they chose to do the only moral thing imaginable - restoration of Jewish homeland in Palestine.
The level of ignorance of some people here is astonishing.
You have to expand this comment a little. By now it's not clear what Arab state you are talking about.
I believe that Jewish state should exist. Jews have the right to have the same level of protections that other nations are entitled to have.
If they do not form a majority in that state, it's not a Jewish state anymore, in that state Jews no longer have the protection of the state, they instead are forced to search protection from the state.
It's simple and clear as that. It is also becoming more and more clear that your motivation is simply hatred toward Jews that you are trying to hide with these logical fallacies and simply lying.
Not to mention that UK doesn't even belong to EU for a quite considerable time for a random person to take a bloody notice.
Nothing like that is even by slightest similar to indigenous people of Canada. Nothing. Also while Canada my want people, so does EU.
And this is the root cause you fail to understand - the idea of copyright contradicts the idea of information freedom. You should be able to make a copy for you own purposes such that when you go back, the information is still the same and not manipulated and you should be able to actually share this information given it's important. For example a news story about corruption that has been taken down.
Also why the hell you believe that the same copyright rules that apply to a movie that can take millions to make and keeps relevance for years should apply to a news article for example? It's madness.
I was obviously talking about 1979, as the topic is Jimmy Carter. The military could have stabilized the power transition. It's not about what military was doing - it was following the orders, and Shah was just too weak because of illness to give any. Iranian revolution destroyed the country and threw it into abyss of Islamic madness, forced millions to flee and forced the rest under inhumane control of theological dictatorship compared to what the regime of Shah feels like a walk in a park.
Iran was not a dictatorship but a constitutional monarchy. It was also like that before 1953. The only actual coup that really happened in 1953, was a coup by Mossadegh, who falsified the parliamentary elections to gain the power and then threatened Shah when he was not appointed as prime minister.
Now, perhaps he could have succeeded with his coup, but unfortunate for himself, he also made some very stupid moves, that removed the important support he needed.
Remind me an Arab state where Arabs are constantly persecuted for being an Arab. It has NEVER been about citizenship (and yes, many countries have very strictly limited immigration of Jews before and after creation of Israel), it has always been about constant persecution of Jews. When Arabs lost to Jews in Israel Independence War then they started to punish and oppress Jews living in Arab states. Were these Jews responsible by any means? No, their only fault was being a Jew. And it's just only a single example.
Their home was taken away by The Western Colonial Power - Rome. Jews are the only nation that was crushed by Rome, but survived without their land, all other such nations have perished. Restoring their homeland on their indigenous land was the only morally rightful thing to do when the descendants of Rome recaptured this territory.
Yes, it's better than freezing to death but Finland and Denmark demonstrate that there exists a much better and humane way to deal with the problem https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homelessness_in_Finland
This shows that it's not that easy to get the AI right even with the sizable funding available. OpenAIs moat is its actual capacity to provide and develop better solutions.
