Interesting idea. I can build this and open source it. I imagine there is equivalent hardware over LTE already?

There are many good extensions with somewhat similar features, the ideal extension might come down to personal preference but I've been building double.bot [0] after spending months using Github Copilot and running into the same bugs over and over (wrote about it here [1]) and I think we've done a good job at building the ideal extension for professional developers.

Can I ask why? I personally have been coding with LLMs since the davinci-003 days and don't see myself going back.

Granted I am biased, I am the co-founder of Double which is an extension for VS Code. But that's also why I'm curious to hear why are you against extensions (maybe we can learn from your experience).

Previously posted in HN [0] about how I was going to build a robot dog and document every second of it for Youtube.

Wasn't sure if there's interest for this type of content amongst our community but that post was my most upvoted post in personal history (not a huge number but I'll take it). Was really excited and it's super encouraging to see other people upvote/follow along :)

In this part 2 I finally assembled the first leg, did some last minute CAD redesign to eliminate parts, and starting coding the servos. Ran into a ton of issues around properly initializing servos and position control, and then leg kinematics and how to model a walking motion also kicked my ass. I've left all of it in the footage, unedited, because I think someone might learn from it (?) or at least question my decisions (which would be a good exercise too).

Video is super long. My inspiration was watching George Hotz programming videos (hours long) which I really enjoy and thought there should be a hardware equivalent
