I'm zero on this tech, but I'd like to see this type of project work.

Does the article ever say what the setting we should change are, or is just saying that Yale has a leadership platform that it exercised for musicians during the pandemic?

I'm rehearing with a group of highly amateur musicians, and getting some easily configurable improvement on this would be something we would definitely do, but I missed what the changed settings should be. Thx

Seems like an important topic to discuss. Serious question, how do should I understand the concluding sentence/word,

What is meant by "homeless capital"? does it mean SF is the capital city for homeless like Washington DC, or does capital go to opposite of venture capital, like in banking/finance/Wall St?

It was just a movie, but in a movie about Pele, one of the memorable scenes was he was playing with the neighborhood poor kids, against the rich kids in a tournament. His team didn't have shoes or uniforms. And they didn't want to be made fun of . They rather crookedly got shoes, but weren't use to them, and they didn't fit.

By half time, they were losing badly. Pele took off his shoes, scored amazing goals and the team came back to within one goal.

Kinda random, but what should I believe about shoes being obvious.

GAC currently has a nice display booth at the NADA show, National Automobile Dealers at Moscone Center in San Francisco, showing about 6 cars. Which is probably some sort of a confirmation of what the article says about them coming to US dealers soon.

Tried out cloud computing. Went to the first lesson, clicked the link for the YouTube of the first video class, described as "What is the Cloud? Watch this lively video for a quick overview of the Cloud landscape. Though it's a couple of years old, it's a great intro."

But got hit with a "this video is not available" YouTube page. A YouTube search for the same title brings up lots of possibles.

I'm hopeful about this.

  Should I pay 3X's as much to get only 10% more experience, is a great question.   But if I frame the choice as, I could pay less than $0.50 / hour for better experience on something important to me, my calculus is different.

I also remember that for a few season, MS did the vaporware thing. Spreading false rumors that they would be releasing a Surface in a few months that would cost about $200, and be better real computer compared to the new Google backed toy. Then after a few delays the surface limited devices came out at nearly $500, and were soon abandoned.

Right, And this excellent little known Chromebook feature continues to get better.

One can now throw tabs from one account context to the second logged in account. Left click on the top to the left of the tabs, (while the Chromebook is signed into two accounts) and it offers moving the tab to the other account.

I also believe Google is experimenting with taking its customer support up a few levels, which for years was figure it out for yourself. With both Chromebooks and YouTube subscription, I've gotten very good support through chat including call backs. Isn't that what Google One, is supposed to be about?? , real customer support if you are a paying Google Drive, G-Suite, YouTube monthly payer, etc.

My experience is that Mexicans do have many words and phrases for sexual references, with a goodly number involving foods. But I haven't experienced, or remember seeing, it using to make a joke of foreigners. That would be more like being mean to someone who can't be expected to understand than being funny among friends..

Theme that I see is branding that besides engineering smarts, Google is likable, thoughtful, someone you'd want as your friend. Leading with the hamburger emoji to move the image of Google as more fun / regular human. and IMHO think its well done.

Also apps do get updated, and when they do they sometimes grow by almost a 100 MB. Repeat that X times, and the RAM on the phone turns out to be insufficient for larger apps of the new now.

Glad that Apple is making an effort to re-engage with Google in the education market. In my limited experience, Apple is way ahead in apps that use the stylus effectively, but the Chrome App "Squid" shows that the tech is there for Chromebook to do almost zero lag drawing.

I like the physical simplicity of one hour equals a colored block. I've got minor quibbles so will modify it, but good idea.

A key point - for me as a user unlikely to develop extensions- is buried some paragraphs down. "JupyterLab 1.0 will eventually replace the classic Jupyter Notebook. Throughout this transition, the same notebook document format will be supported by both the classic Notebook and JupyterLab."

I've read Google Colaboratory provides 12 hours of free GPU usage. Even without using the GPU, I find the Colab version useful
