Get a single 43” 4K monitor.

Then use a window manager that allows to automatically arrange windows. I build my own using Hammerspoon on macOS.

Great productivity upgrade.

Confirmed: Build a 30k pages site with Hugo in 53 seconds, including grabbing JSON content from Contentful and deploy on AWS S3.

Took some effort to get everything under 60 seconds, speed was the main reason to use Hugo.

This is the main reason I didn’t buy one.

Buy a Thinkpad and install Hackintosh.

I was so done with both the MacBook and MacBook Pro keyboards that I bought a Lenovo Thinkpad T480s. Installed Hackintosh, running the latest macOS Mojave 10.14.5 without issues (only drawback is that the Touchpad on the MacBooks are better).

Finally I can type again.

Second that T480s, love it. 24GB RAM, 2TB SSD. Booting OpenBSD, macOS and Linux. Scaling on WQHD display works solid. Only drawback is that the WWAN (4G) only works under Linux and the touchpad is not as good as in a MacBook Pro.

Algolia and HackterNews (Y Combinator) are two different parties. Algolia implemented the HackerNews API (which is based on Firebase). Agolia uses their JavaScript library to enhance the user experience (for near instant search results).

Yeah, I was quite surprised myself. Thought it was worth bookmarking and sharing ;)
