If I have access to hardware and data how does a safety layer get enforced? Regulations are for organizations that care about public perception, the law, and stock prices. Criminals and nation-states are not affected by these things
It seems to me enforcement is likely only possible at the hardware layer, which means the safety mechanisms need to be enforced throughout the hardware supply chain for training or inference. You don't think the Chinese government or US government will ignore this if its in their interest?

The licensing costs for Ebooks are unsustainable for library's. The publishers don't want any sharing and so the cost per ebook vs physical is totally out of sync with Ebooks considerably higher. One could argue that publishers are the ones who are strangling the viability of libraries to exist.
on the counter I think Australian retail is some of the best. fun, low pressure, engaging and helpful.

It's all downsize. If it didn't end up being amazing consumers would see behind the curtain and judge all their products. Margins on cars are nowhere near phones. I'm not sure there is a ton of cross over benefits from manufacturing small sized electronics vs large cars. Not to mention that apple outsources all of this work.
