Looks like they created mess with AI and then open sourced it. I remembered I had to shift from them to metabase because they closed sourced their deployments docker/kubernetes I guess it was 3 years back.

But now AI screwed them over so they come with their own open-source spaghetti.

How any content came into existence? Learning, Experience, connection, etc right? If AI is doing that then what's the problem? Printing Press was also disturbing status-quo of its time. Any frontier technologies at their time did that. Be it Fire, Wheel, Horse, Horse Saddle, Gun, Printing Press, Nuclear war heads, Computers, Internet, AI, etc.

Don't make it ethical question but understand its new frontier for humans.

It is not good for text to speech (TTS) as well. I am trying it for few days. First of all 1.5B model documentation is not there. 0.5B realtime is shit model. I was converting text, line by line and it was randomly adding music and couldn't handle special characters like "…".

I really disappointed with this model to say the least.

Features:

- Complete support for WordPress REST API endpoints - Multiple authentication methods (Application Passwords, Basic Auth, OAuth1) - Intuitive interface for common WordPress operations (posts, pages, media, etc.) - Support for custom taxonomies and post types - Custom fields (post meta) management - Robust error handling with specific exception types - Full typing support for better IDE integration - Automatic retries for failed requests - Comprehensive documentation (https://wp-api-client.readthedocs.io/en/latest/)

I have 15 years of experience with Python however in this project, I didn't coded anything. Just Vibe coded. Putting errors from the console into chat.

Claude 3.7 Sonnet Thinking model used in this (using Github Copilot).

Documentation is also available at https://email-deliverability.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ which is also fully vibe coded.

Even the architecture diagram (https://email-deliverability.readthedocs.io/en/latest/overvi...) is also vibe-coded into mermaid diagrams.

I agree with you. However, Inflation is resultant, not a fundamental thing that moves the pointer. Current, the Inflation scenario all over the world is because of Covid related quantitative easing.

Problem is, quantitative easing as the instrument is misunderstood by politicians. It creates/accelerates further debt burden on future generations. And, that just accelerated this debt trap for many nations.

The Demography dividend is already eroding fast. Natural Resources are already limited. So, Innovation is the only way out for nations. AI is a driver for that.

May be, we will see new world order in this lifetime only.

Chinese strategy is open-source software part and earn on robotics part. And, They are already ahead of everyone in that game.

These things are pretty interesting as they are developing. What US will do to retain its power?

BTW I am Indian and we are not even in the race as country. :(

The debate over market timing is often dismissed with a simple “don’t try,” but Part 2 of this analysis digs into the nuances most discussions miss. Using historical data, behavioral psychology, and case studies, it challenges the binary "yes/no" framing and explores:

Why even rational investors fall into timing traps (spoiler: it’s not just greed).

Quantitative thresholds where timing might add value, based on market cycle analysis.

The role of algorithmic tools vs. human intuition in modern strategies.

For HN readers: If you’ve ever built models around market data, tested timing algorithms, or have strong opinions on efficient markets, this piece is a catalyst for debate. How do you reconcile historical volatility with long-term holding? Is there a middle ground between passive indexing and active timing?

Curious to hear from quant-minded folks, data scientists, or anyone who’s backtested timing strategies. What’s your take?

Enough is enough 5 years ago

In India, NSO's Pegasus allegedly used for toppling two state Governments by Central Government plus used for various Political gains be it opposition politicians, election commissioner, Judges, Journalists, Activists etc.

And, NSO response is "Enough is Enough". This is not enough, this is just starting.

I had to take 300-400 interviews in short period of time to hire few candidates. I created excellent team by asking basic concepts. If they could answer those then they could build a product or figure the product out.

That works best for programmers with entry to mid-level. In Senior level you need to focus more on problem solving.

I worked on Ad systems for 2-3 years.

It is fault of advertisement industry and RTB. RTB rely on personal data with some fields missing (name, phone, email, etc) to be send for real time bidding for Ads by many players. Remaining data mapped by these players to infer these missing fields and guess purchase habit of person browsing the site and bid on Ad space.

Data sent to these RTBs do have unique fields like Android Ad ID that can easily identify person.

Ad industry rely on these obfuscation like Android Ad ID to track us individually but giving the idea that personal data is not sent.

Zoo uses this effectively to give scenic view to visitors.

Our architecture is more resilient than what you think. With using Django on lambda, we could also deploy that code to machines. So, we are safe there. Other components will be just functions that could be deployed to Docker with any queue as necessary. So, its calculated risk to leverage the Lambda's benefits of no DevOps, scalability and lower pricing (initially).

That's why what I am trying is seems more right. Those task-queue tasks, we anyway put to queue and then access it through workers. They usually, do computation/IO intensive work or sending out email or notifications, etc. So, its logical to deploy those as separate to aws lambda kind of service to decrease total service turn around time.
