Not related to the observatory of the same name, apparently.

I think people are looking for new alternatives to tinker with. Linux is becoming new Windows and BSDs new Linux. I dunno what is Windows becoming, but it ain't good.
Seeing tile animations immediately reminded me of Godzilla 2: War of the Monsters on NES.
"In 2025, Garmin announced that they would end their certification for ANT+ devices, blaming changes in wireless communication regulations. This is likely to lead to future devices dropping ANT+ support in favour of BLE."

I believe that's what the author was referring to when describing it as failed, but yes, this could've been worded better.
Hey thanks! Using Brevo, formerly known as SendInBlue. Free tier covers project's needs for now.
Here on Croatian islands maritime traffic disruptions and power outages happen often. Constantly checking websites or searching paper notifications stuck on random street lamp posts is a no-go and timely information is important.
I'm working on a mini-project which monitors official resources on the web and sends email notifications on time. Currently covering around 15000 inhabitants.
Very cool. Found the web version also: https://nos.nl/teletekst
What an unfortunate name.
"they have come out and said what we knew all along: they only care about profits."
Not the detract from the rest of the article, but - it's a company, what did you expect?
Good job!
For example, testing website functionality without an ad blocker.
Suggestions. Add support for fine-tuning with mouse wheel. Keep fun facts separate, based on degrees or compass view.
You're gonna dig this then.

Take it as a learning opportunity and ask the critiquer how to improve, avoid mistakes or get to a better solution. Also, now it's on them :)
Yeah, but how does this work once she gets out of prison? A percentage off her paycheck every week 'til she dies?
...pair jointly responsible for repaying $452,047,268 (£361,533,844) to Theranos investors defrauded by the pair.
Alright, how do they repay this?
I would return 66 million years ago to witness the meteor impact from the safety of a space shuttle.
Don't know how safe you would be. If I remember correctly, there's a theory saying that impact ejecta even shot out into space.
Crazy.
And here it is in use: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DoixjuGNxPY
the most popular auth library needed quite a bit of manual patching in code to make it all work
Which one did you use?
Croatia doesn't have any real influence in NATO so nobody will be obliged to listen
Unfortunately, same applied when that drone with explosives fell in the middle of Zagreb. Deafening silence from NATO.
I'm all for concentrating on functionality over visuals, but that website ain't a way to win hearts and minds.
I suggest you go for the smaller piano icons on the Leaflet map.
How do you seed when there's no activity on all three fronts?
Needed to be notified when ferry and boat transport disruptions happen or electricity outages are announced. Not a rarity around these parts. Since I don't have time to constantly check websites or read paper notifications stuck on random street lamp posts, I wanted to periodically check information available on related websites.
What initially started as a script is now a mini-project targeting to cover over 130.000 inhabitants of Croatian islands.
Notifications are delivered via RSS, however I'm planning to add email/SMS notifications as a paid feature.
Thanks for checking it out!
Oh how the tides have turned.
Yeah, actually one third ends up in China.
Man I remember this one, it was all the rage in its hey-day.
One other I would love to see resurrected is Babo Violent 2.
The true fifth estate in the making, it seems?
Yup, screenshot or two with links to 'see it in action' is much better way to go.
I have a feeling that Python has stepped over R's territory, right?
