I see what you mean. A little bit of "reasonable ignorance" but full understanding on the author's side that people don't read full sentences (or long titles).

nonetheless, the research is still valuable. not very surprising that those antivirus companies with vpns have such huge numbers of trackers

As far as i know (form my college days in mid-2000s), we had this issue for setting up movie nights. Some people claimed that rented videos had an agreed-upon audience of (i think) 8 people. So to accommodate, let's say 100 people, we had to rent about 12 of the same videos.

Of course, we were in college and laughed and said screw it and just rented the one DVD.

But I never went back to check up on this.

WFH is a great option, but - having worked in that kind of environment for a few years - I much prefer working in an office. It's definitely true that I'm more productive when I WFH, but honestly, losing that human touch and spur-of-the-moment creativity, which for me requires human interaction (bouncing ideas off each other), is a bigger negative than the positives of getting my work done

I guess others can give you lots of information (especially about tracking tasks, fighting procrastination, etc.), but I found that having regular meetings (weekly) if you're in the same area is great for keeping up morale. That is, if your team aren't really introverted, then they may not need so much social contact.

But I'd say either way that it's important to have a regular face-to-face. I think videoconferincing might work here in a pinch if needed.

This is a failure of lack of regulation, as human nature is to go too far in order to understand how far they can go.

Therefore, some of us will always take it too far until we reach the wall. This wall cannot be built by ethics or morals or any "self-regulation". It needs to be externally built, and well-enforced.
