I am going to ask a very direct question and only because I am curious.
Why do you care? Why would you spend your own money to a multi trillion dollar company so that they win their own "war" against another multi trillion dollar company?
Please don't get me wrong, I know the question can seem a bit negative, I am really just curious.

I don’t see the USA fighting together with Turkey in any area tbh. Turkey handled the Syria situation single handedly while getting blocked on F35 deals. From this side of the ocean, it looks like the bad brother has been the USA, not the other way around. Saying that, I hate our administration, too…

Thanks for the comment! Yeah, if you are using the servers dedicated to yourself and considering the larger server packs more, it definitely makes sense.
In our case, though, if we provide 1/48 of 10Gbit network, it really doesn't work for our end customers. So, we're trying to provide the VMs from smaller but more up-to-date lineup.
Yes, you're right but we tried to keep the workloads less cache dependent.
Also, EPYC's PCIe advantage doesn't hold for the Hetzner provided server setup unfortunately because the configurator allows the same number of devices to be attached to both servers.

Amazing! I'll follow. For what it's worth, I owe my career to the Eclipse debugger. At some point I started using it so much that my friends started to call me "debugger". I find writing code together with a debugger extremely educating.
Hey, right now we do have burstable VM and Postgres instances that come with 2gb ram. We don't have an object storage solution, yet, but definitely in the roadmap. We are also currently working on attached disks which should enable us for the backups of VMs. The backups for Postgres instances are handled through physical replication, though. So, we do support read replicas, point in time restore, etc. for PG already.

Look, this is basically a UI change. None of those features are removed from backend and I hope they don't, ever. As an engineer who maintains a kind of a beefy MinIO cluster myself, I already have a bunch of complaints about the product. UI is not one of them. I really hope that this move is simply the result of a re-org that moves more people to work on real issues.

This is a very creative idea, but I wonder how practical it really is. The blog seems old and doesn’t go into detail about productionizing such a pipeline formats. Without a straightforward way to address these issues, it feels more like a clever experiment than something scalable for real-world mapping. Because an average tesla owner will not go through those steps.
Clean and straightforward! If I could offer one suggestion: maybe not make the post sharing stuff the central item in the page. I understand that it's nice to simply share the tool instantly but it goes against the "minimalist" nature of the tool.

Well, when we say GitHub, we are talking about thousands of services. I don’t think we can pinpoint the overall operational failures to programming language choice. In my experience, these kind of issues are mostly caused by poor organizational architecture + poor project management. In GitHub’s case, I’m also confident to say the choice of infrastructure plays a much bigger role than Ruby.
Why would Ruby play a role in it? Azure definitely does though. (ex azure employee here )
