That will be huge if true. Gravity wave will tell us many things about the very early universe(first few 100,1000s of years!), for which we have very little data now. Its an amazing achievement for LIGO just after 10 days of its start.

I had used it once. But the speed it gave to me is too slow. I could not even open a basic site without waiting for 10-15 seconds. Had I done something wrong or is this speed same to you?
There is a link of DB attached(https://mega.nz/#!WBg1zAIA!dg0g2Q0kDm1q6r1WBMPe0-nrP3wxvokeF...). Can anyone verify weather the images actually point to "The Monopoly Man" or is a test image.
How can they hide the bug in an open source project after fixing it. Isn't commit public?
What is the benefit of having time period larger than geosynchronous satellite? I see quite some satellite like that, e.g. OPS 6638 which has a time period of 6,701.8 minutes. I can think of no benefit of it, and on the downside it will require stronger rocket and provide low visibility.
Why do browser people always forget about favicons? Most browser saved favicon on private browsing and then this.

While I find this project awesome, but I don't think telecos or even facebook will allow this in long run. I think that it even breaks facebook TOS.
For this reasons I have made pinch.js (https://github.com/fugyk/pinchjs). It enables desktop like zooming in mobile.
Why can't I update VLC 2.1.5 using 'Check for update' in OSX.
This type of competition is not good as there will only be minor differences which will confuse others. They will not be viewed as two different environments but two version of same environment. Developers will not want their libraries to work only with io when they can make it work with node with a hack. This can create situation like unix/windows compatibility. And using same package manager worsens the situation.
It is working on OSX Chrome 40 in my case.
What if any intermediate version is found to contain the violation of trusting trust? Every go maintainer has to build every version sequentially from that version to current version.
Wow, I almost forgot that I was using HTML5 version of youtube as a preview. I am using HTML5 preview since day 1 and I don't remember any glitches or bugs. I wonder why this switch has taken so long given many upsides and no known downside.
The reason that I use C many of times is not because of its speed but because it (almost) completely reveals it inner working even when there is clear reason not to do so.
(1) Though it is bad for most of time but still I feel more contended sometimes with it, especially for complex code.
(2) Even if this transparency is at superficial level with optimising compilers, but there are very few high level optimisation applied to C code and that too in the form of loop unrolling, tail call optimisation, loop interchange etc.
Facebook status[1] on this seems dry. Hoping to see a tech blog post soon on this issue.

Is there any research which compares eye strain on reading from paper vs e-ink/LCD?
I think integration with other Google products is the main reason they are venturing here. It can offer one click integration to google apps, app engine, cloud compute and blogger. If they offer free google apps for personal use, I think it can be a major selling point.
