Literally will break overnight when some key dependency changes. Your LLM might not be able to fix it. Then i guess you regenerate it all from scratch? Sounds exhausting tbh.

This is another dumb AI project idea which i would have done at some point too if I didn't know better. It's one of those things where doctors will just go ahead with the fix even if they haven't evaluated the exact diagnosis, since the fix will probably be the same regardless. The human mind wants certainty though so I get it, but the fix doesn't need to be preceded by a pinpointing of the exact cause.

What's with all the anti-AI sentiment here? Is it a bunch of unemployed devs?

so what? if you aren't part of inflating the hype beast you're a victim of it. Eventually no one will be left to hype it because we'll all have lost the battle.

Thanks. So is this not an optimiser Clojure runtime can do for you automatically? I find the first one simpler to read and understand.

He is a full time nauseating AI shill. If you happen to listen to his recent appearance on Software Engineering Radio podcast, you may just die of cringe. I had my final straw moment on AI hype during that podcast and my first I wish someone would bully that nerd moment.

This reminds me of Amazon Prime video advertising Molly Mae. It knows I would never ever watch that trash but it shows it to me precisely for that reason, that'll I get annoyed enough to vent about it and contribute to it going viral. It works i guess, since I am typing this garbage on hn.

Saying that uv is their only winner is a hilarious take.

na this news is good enough reason to move from Ruff back to black and stay the course, I won't use anything else from Astral. I will use uv but only until pip 2/++ gets its shit together and catches up and hopefully then as a community we should jump back on board and keep using pip even if it's not as good, it's free in the freedom sense.
