There's a racial difference between jurors in my mind because there's a racial difference between jurors in reality lol. Pretending otherwise is foolish, lawyers literally pick their juries based on this obvious fact.

Yeah its a trade off, as the article mentions, against alienating a minority voting bloc in juries. In the US most relevantly black vs white jurors.
Juries will generally be majority white meaning the opinion of the black jurors would be discounted often.
Neither solution is ideal, and this topic interests me greatly, it seems very similar to the questions of fairness and bias in statistics / ML.

I agree it can be quite good! Spicy fake Italian sausages were a favorite I remember. Had the same reaction. Its forced overtime so maybe they'll complain? But with the virus hitting, if correct safety precautions are taken the extra cash seems like a good thing? While I fully agree with the article, what exactly is it trying to tell me that everyone didn't know? Is it just saying that your phone is a distraction, and that distractions make it harder to focus? I'm just unsure what part of the article anyone would disagree with.
I believe it is not illegal if they're not withholding who they are or their motivations.
I think the difference is that there are other safety nets in place to prevent people from taking too much. Those are most likely still in effect with the postcards, the only difference is people now know when they can escalate their issues with not getting rice from a local official and succeed. The local official never wants this since the official knows what the citizen is actually due and escalating the issue will confirm this. If someone is demanding too much from the local official, they will have no worries about the complaint running up the chain because they are doing their job correctly.

I disagree completely. While hitting it as big as Jeff Bezos did relies on luck, there's generally themes and qualities that lend themselves to being "lucky" as you call it. And even if you dont hit it as big as Bezos, those qualities can improve your life and other's opinion of you. For example, Jeff Bezos always gets the job done. Nearly every tech success story has some variation of that skill, the ability to complete the task, sometimes in a roundabout way, even if it seemed impossible.
This is not to say acquiring that trait gives you a billion dollar company. But it certainly doesn't hurt to have.
