It's worse, you're paying them so your competitor isn't standing in front of your store convincing them not to be your costumer.

You can either buy the top spot on queries that are looking for you or google will sell it to your competitor.

Taking one gram every 5-6 hours for a maximum of 4 gram/day IS entirely reasonable.

I don't know how you jumped from "it's dangerous to take in to high amounts, even 4 times the recommended dose is dangerous" to "the recommened dose is dangerous".

When taken correctly it is very safe and had fewer side effects then NSAIDs like ibuprofen.

I don't vote for this party but you sre totally straw manning them with respect to data centres. The whole reason those became controversial is because American big tech companies would come in and negotiate deals with municipalities to consume all the energy of newly built green energy projects so they could claim they would make their green goals withouth making any investments themselves. Also you can question if the Netherlands is the right place being so densly populated resulting in issues with both the electricity grid and general land shortage.

The extraction problem has been solved for a long time to make recombinant insuline. Before that it had to be extracted from an animals pancreas. These days peptides are often improved using non-natural amino acids to make them more stable and thus longer acting. Semaglutide is a good example. These are synthesized using solid-phase synthesis.

Shorting is often a bad strategy due to the hight cost if you plan to hold for the long term. And with these companies with irrational evaluations you gave no idea when the stock price will correct. Better to exlude stocks that you can't price accurately from your portefolio.

Depends on your perspective. Many people would consider someone like Fauci non-partisan and more of a competent career expert, but Trumps people think he is very political and purge people like that. At the FBI they purge people who are probably quite competent and not particularly partisan but happened to work on Trumps case, which is mostly about sending a message I think not do much about finding the right employees to work at the FBI. This is very un American in my view.

The nation doesn’t just need a shipbuilding revolution—it needs a broader industrial revitalization. Strengthening semiconductor manufacturing, modernizing military and civilian aviation, reinvigorating automotive innovation, and more are all critical. Tackling this alone would be overwhelming, but collaboration with trusted neighbors and reliable allies could make these ambitions achievable. Luckily we have a real bridge builder in cha...

I'll take a plain histogram/kde plot every day of the week over those damn violin plots. I think box plots are quite usefull as they are easy to read but only if you trust the author has actually looked at the histogram. And you can typically not trust the author to have done that.

It probably would have been nice to have one build now or even better 10 years ago. It's a good base of stable green energy to have during the transition. But planning to build a new one now seems purely political. It doesn't make sense when it takes 10 years to build at best. Every recent plant build in the west has had huge cost and time overruns. But then to make those costs back the plant has to compete with solar/wind/batteries for a good 20 years, STARTING IN 2035-2040. That's never going to work out financially. Solar is already cheaper and you will have to make those investments in the grid either way before the nuclear plant comes online.

The problem is also that this class of drugs (modified peptides) is produced in a very different way from most drugs (small molecules). When small molecule GLP-1 receptor agonists hit the market the shortage will be over very quickly. There is a lot of capacity to produce small molecules in place already. Many companies are currently racing to bring small molecules to market.

Yeah, other GLP-1 receptor agonists are expected to have similar effects. One of the effects of GLP-1 receptor activation is a reduction in the rate of gastric emptying. So it slows down digestion and gives you a full, satiated feeling. Guess the urge for some drugs is related to the urge for food and that's how it supresses drug use. But the last bit is speculation on my part.

No the EU has the EMA which approves drugs for all European countries in collaboration with national drug agencies. And the EMA FDA and japanese agency are pretty well aligned. So approval by one will typically mean you also meet the requirements for the others. Notable exceptions are the recent Alzheimer drugs.

The long time CEO of ASML, probably one of the most successful engineering companies of the last two decades, is an accountant by training. But if you hear him speak it's all about the quality of the product and delivering value to the customer. The CEO of Boeing should have his priorities right and be willing to listen to his engineers instead of maximizing profits by reducing cost. What he did in college is not that important in my opinion.
