This is great!! Last week I took out my old Pre 2 and Pixi to show my kids. It brought up great memories. I can’t wait to spend the weekend going through this.

How did you find everything and put it together?

I just recently tried to revive my Acer Aspire with Debian, after many years of just sitting on the shelf. It installed and runs, but it's not the same. I loved having it originally. Highly portable, I could sit it on my lap on an airplane, and not worry about not having enough space!

What's the biggest mistake you've made on the job, and how did your team/management respond to it?

I guess this means no Pi4 in the Turning Pi...

I've attended ACCU a few times and really enjoyed it. I've also heard good things about Steelcon, but I haven't made it there yet.

Are the voice reply capabilities for iOS still limited to certain carriers?

I'm a big fan of the ACCU conference. It's not too big, but packed with lots of good talks.

Cooking. You can cook for yourself or others. You can make simple or complex things. You can change recipes to fit your liking and get creative and come up with new things. And at the end, you get to eat it.

Big sports fan here. I enjoy watching the game and participating. I've been working on a side project for managing the social sport/rec league teams I play on.

The idea you raised is an interesting one. There are lots of really cool visualizations out there these days. I've always wondered how we could make them more useful during the games.

Bank of America has a similar one too, and it doesn't have a yearly fee.

I wonder which is a better deal for a new tablet owner. A 2012 N7 or a 2013 N7? Seems like a lot of people are satisfied with their N7 and it is getting the new software update. Should I go for the new or stick with last year's model?

I remember a few years back all my friends had Blackberries and we could all sit in a room and have full conversations over bbm, excluding those without blackberries. Now we all are split over Android and iOS but we all use whatsapp and groupme.

BBM was great for instant messaging back in the day, but it's been out of the game for too long now.

Are there many sports based startups? I'd love to learn more about some.

It's even better when you realize you don't have to get the full unlimited plan and can save $30 by getting the 450 plan.

At work I'm always "learning" things so that I can build something. I too was learning Ruby at one point, and it started off as an exercise in learning a new programming language. Trying new things little by little, by the time I got around to working on something real I found out I had a pretty good grasp on the language. This is a different experience than what I'm going through right now. There is more of a rush to learn something new so I can accomplish a task, to complete a project not to gain understanding.

Semi-tangent: Are there startups who do work like this, analyzing sports games or developing technology for sports (other than fitness trackers)? I'd be interested in learning more about them if so.

Too bad they didn't keep webOS around...

Is there an easy place to find out about these conferences and more like them?

I found and attended the ACCU conference in Oxford last year. I found it quite affordable at 695 GBP, and it was hands down the best conference I've been to. The speakers were great, the topics were interesting (programming languages, testing, developer processes, etc), the size of the conference was just right. The speakers were fun and knowledgeable, and had no qualms about joining the masses. In fact at one event the speakers and the masses were joined up in an networking activity. It was awesome. The wifi was flaky but is something I could deal with no problem. I've often wondered why there isn't a developer conference like this here in the states?

I wonder how affects those of us who pay extra for more space already?

You can buy a pouch to hold the sensor onto non-Nike shoes. They usually are no more than a couple bucks. I'm sure there are hacks out there too.
