only one way to do that. Opensource self hosting. We get about 1 billion tokens (up and down) for $3000~ including server costs. Great for long running agents. I even point claudecode to it and it works fine. Near fable levels in some cases.

By that, they mean they don't want Palantir to see what is going on in those systems. Palantir has an unmodifiable blockchain to track all additions, changes and modifications, and deletions and by whom. No way to cheat. In many ways, Palantir is so much safer than any other system. But my guess is there are things they don't want the Trump DSI/NSA/CIA/Military Intelligence to see.
Governemnt money should be approved by elected politicians or the President's electives. Until now the approach has led to abuse in many ways. Especially gatekeeping by professors on new ideas. Cold fusion comes to mind. Probably put behind by 40 years. I do not mind this new strategy by the President at all.
That post was disgusting. He shouldn't find a job anytime soon. But being fired for speech is wrong. So from that point, he deserves the settlement. But I certainly don't want to be near someone that revels in someone's assassination.
They are cheating. 100%. I want a full audit.
Good luck on that one. God often requires us to go to war in the bible. Once he even asked for the total destruction of a whole culture. Man, woman and child. Divine justification is perfectly fine. Much like some wars we consider just (WWI, WWII, and hundred others). War is bad the weak always say. Yet anyone that studies it knows it is often needed, is often leveraged to achieve other goals unachievable without it, and sometimes it is justified, and sometimes it is divine. We will see other wars soon spurned and and supported by God. The Pope can not stop God. Maybe not even interpret him.
lol. Sure they are. Totally massive skills.
I suggest it is not the gardening but the sun that is giving this benefit.
I hate workday.
At my firms I saw this happen often. HR would review, or a junior engineer and pass on very good candidates. It wasn't until I set up a review system with A-class engineers that we started to catch the best people. A-class engineers recognize themselves far better than anyone else. But they prefer to build than review resumes.
I ended up building my own head hunting firm specifically to address the whole pipeline. That helped somewhat but head hunting is its own very odd space. Full of inefficiencies and bias.
With any AI company, there are always limits you hit. Energy, compute, optimizations, inference, team resources, money, and all the flows to make it a company. HR is usually the one that gets the fewest resources.
Sheesh. 12B. Here I am working my ass off for $25M.
Chamath's new company 80/90 is targeting this pain. Large firms often have no idea what their software is trying to do. Rebuilding it is cheaper and leads to better software.
That title is very misleading. The facts are convoluted as well. This is a mix of greed, espionage, incompetent government agencies, and companies that do not vet their remote workers yet giving them access to software and data they shouldn't have. Crazy. But with the stories coming out of DOGE, I am not even shocked. At least in this case one person (out of how many?) is going to jail. How many more of these people exist in the US now?
Same. Thought this was just another tax scam.
Vibe coding for me meant a roll-the-dice approach to building something that world. Never a care for strong architecture or good code standards. Allowing anyone to become an "engineer". A friend of mine, who can't code, used Cursor to build fully functional Nextjs web apps. I was impressed. Vibe coding is a super power for average people.
I do think this article fully grasps that change. Using AI to do tasks is not vibe coding. At least to me.
When will the first vibe coding book come out I wonder?
Hahaha. I had one and look at that I worked in robotics and AI. Never realized that before. Toys do have impact, don't they?
Wait the philipines is real?!
Why the hate for leetcode testing?
Tornado Cash is a 1A issue. Should never have been pulled down.
how is this open vs whatdeepseek did?
funny thing is they prob had a position to make bank off that. smart.
we are never really dead
I met many people that met Paul Graham once. 2 > 1. right? Not sure Paul would ever have invested in my companies. But the world is smaller than you think.
These studies are not well formed. There is an easier way to test for vaccine damage leading to autism. Compare children with any dosage of vaccines vs children that never received any dosage of a vaccine. The Amish in a very good study found that no Amish born children had autism. A rate of 0. Compared to those children that had autism all have been vaccinated. This enough is for me to know that while one or a single dose does not lead to autism possibly (though i have doubts here too) that many dosages of various vaccines combined in certain ways may lead to autism. This causal path is complex, for certain, but it is clear it is a non zero probability that you will be autistic (and if you watch that new show, telepathic).
If you want to see if America is getting healthier, look at any large insurance firm's actuaries on current rates of mortality. They are predicting fairly unusual patterns suggesting American's are becoming unnaturally sick and dying at a higher rate than before 2020. These kind of articles are just trying to undermine the new administrations attempts to correct for this.

God. No.
Tether accounts can be frozen by the FBI. Not sure how it can be used by the cartels? What am I missing?
Most solid firms, like my own, have strong financial controls, a CFO, and a board with strong oversight. Absolutely never had a problem.
If you are going to build a startup, build a board, get your finances in control and very transparent to investors.
Fraud will never be gone but you can ensure your firm will never be accused of it.
Arbitration is not as bad as everyone thinks if you are smart and know the law. First it allows you to talk to the other party in a way that illuminates you are willing to go far enough to seek remedy to your grievance. Secondly, it does not oblige you to make a deal. In fact, a no deal finding will help you when you sue in court after. Many arbitration agreements suggest you give up this right but that is an illegal clause. You can always sue. Just not in a class action. But for the most part, if you go to court they will likely (knowing you know the law) offer you a settlement.
Remember contracts can be changed by you for any reason at any time. And any contract that removes your rights is by law, unlawful and void. You can even sue them for the denial of rights under the color of law. If you have the time.
