Thank you. Each time I see an app that does the smallest change possible (and it's a MacOS-only thing by the way) I think to myself: Does it have to be an APP?
Not a script, not a configuration, but an actual app that occupies space and RAM and does just that? How had somebody come to this weird idea that everything is an APP?
Now, one resort for them would be to use Airbnb’s web application on the web browsers of their phones, which doesn’t make much sense.
I never understood why one needs 20 separate apps (100 Mb each) instead of just using a single standard pre-installed web browser. Mobile UI everywhere is fine and functionality is the same.
Nothing against it but I always wonder what leads to posting a link to a website out of the blue sky. No news, no releases, just a link to a frontpage.
I don't think there is much one can do on their own. Even our relatives can't help because most countries closed their borders and aerospace and tech firms are not inclined to hire Russians right now. I for one could not get any kind of ways to evacuate.
People really fear war and economic sanctions, everyone around me are watching live currency exchange quotes and stock markets. Noboby around me supports the invasion or even understands why it's happening. It's like an abbyss between the head of the state and the people. Can't say for everyone of course.
Stay safe, brother, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm Russian and wholeheartedly despise this outrageous war crime act of our so-called government.
Fedora rocks, totally. I've never exprienced smoother upgrades in my life and I did every upgrade from F28 to F35 now. The most stable distro out there and boy I tried a lot of them.
Unfortunately Elementary's devs are too busy finding the right shades for the dark theme so there is no time left for your marginal features. These problems and bugs are not tackled for years.
Maybe some of them are mandatory for a child after birth (though I question it because anyway doctors should get parent's signature to do it). But how could you force an adult who is totally ok with lockdown? Cut all access to basic necessities? Make police involved? How?
This. I've been working remotely for almost a year now and I'm not looking forward to being back in the office. I don't spent 3 hours a day on the road, I don't have to see and hear my coworkers and don't want to sit at my desk. My employer may rent another place 5 times smaller, whatever. I'm here at home enjoying my loneliness and I've never felt better about my job.
