I have been through lambda.
It was the force of nature that turned my life on the right path.
It was the best decision I ever made
This wouldn’t have been possible without Austen.
NAV is an Extremely well run org.
I believe in the system and I believe Norwegian state will do the right thing
Case in point - look at the tech platform docs for NAVs tech teams - https://nais.io/
it happens slowly at first, then all at once.
Y'all in US haven't seen a political turmoil. Rest of the world has and we all are just pattern matching.
I am pretty sure HN will RIP apart Koch but do read his views before picking up your sickle
it's a mRNA vaccine and a lot easier to change in case of a mutation
Kind of ironic to post this on the web, given it's history.
it's funny because you think it happened because tim berners lee and CERN. I think, it happened because arpanet and universities connecting with each other.
Internet wasn't an organised effort. it was a bottoms up manifestation. Do i need to remind you what CERN was actually supposed to do?
you have answered your own question. cool.
DISAGREE on this. Real innovation happens bottoms up. co-operation at national level is all a spectacle.
it gave my website 80. ️

If you bothered to read the blog. You would know he was okay with getting certificates from forestry department but he got stuck because of BRIBES.

I am stuck in a small city near Delhi.
It's hard to find things like olive oil anywhere except for Jio app. Atleast I am thankful for that.
Marvelous. Thanks for providing the links. I will try it out.
I am in a similar boat. I am a software engineer and I can't ditch it.
Hey Dang, that was really helpful! Thanks!
It's possible that you were misled by the word 'solely'
Yeah, I don't think I fully understand the premise.
Do you see how that could come across as dismissive?
I can see that but it's really hard to convey something contrary to popular belief.
Let's say I want to say something like "it's easy to be a victim rather than to take action and make change" I truly believe that and I really think it will help people to take actions rather than just being stagnant. I don't want to be dismissive. How can I say it?
better is to ask clarifying questions rather than making objections
I somewhat agree. But, it's hard to discuss without counter arguments.
Disclaimer - english is not my first language
Hey dang,
I am curious. what could I have done better?
if OP said he is suffering "solely" because of his colour and I think, its borderline impossible to pin point a result of large complex system on any one thing?
P.S. - do people flag my comments or did you just see it on your own.
I am really curious about brown people.
How come Indians succeed in tech? Why do we have so many Indians in tech?
if it's just the skin colour. Why do Indians in tech rise to the top.
P.S. - Before you try to cancel me - I am not trying to start a flame war. I am curious about your explanation.
I’ve been passed up for promotions, fired, and hired based solely on my color
"solely". It's easy to pin point a problem on others.

Industrial ecosystems don't spring out of the ground because of selfishness and greed, they're created by institutions.
barrin92 meet Charles koch.
If you create value for others and they show there happiness with money. Congrats you are rich
exclude the huge negative costs imposed on slaves
What slaves? That was a century ago.
I agree.
balancing different social interests
okay. how can you measure social welfare?
seems like a pretty extreme position to just say that money and pricing is the only tool in the toolbox.
I never said that. You said it. You countered it.
Money is the worst proxy for optimising returns for the society. Lemme know if you have anything better.
Greed and selfish pursuit leads to wealth creation
Hey Dang,
In guidelines it says "have something genuinely new to say. Avoid unrelated controversies and generic tangents"
tbh, I am really curious about the situation.
Why do Indian-Americans have a disproportionate numbers of High paying jobs i.e founders, CEO, CTO etc?
Why do indian-americans have a median salary of 120k?
What are they doing right?
I could have framed it in a better way but the question still stands.
Thanks!
I haven't heard about this incident BUT it still doesn't shows why there are so many indian CEOs.
I really doubt that it's the norm.
Look at the numbers not the anecdotes.
There are disproportionate number of Indian CEOs. It would have been impossible with racism and what not.
