Just a further note: "AI" is a completely misleading name. No one (sane) in the "AI" business thinks of it as being intelligent. It's just automated statistics (it IS probabilistic) which can find patterns in data. So an An A' pattern won't fit. Also it usually has much less than a single hundred layers.

Yes, like said. Also I did not see your first draft of writing before. First which comes to my mind when seeing it: It seems you are not referencing any existing work of scientists, which will be a large caveat for many, because that is like science works – enhance what others have done, prove your starting or side points of your arguments by citing what others found, do not do everything from scratch. Don't write about what you think something is like (e.g. NN), but prove it is like that by citing the right sources, which you have read.

AI is just statistics. It is neither intelligent, nor does it know anything. Especially not what your program wants to do, or in what kind input is needed.

If you got it somehow trained on 30,000 calculator GUIs it still might get a working calculator GUI out, but that would be much more effort than just doing it normally. And it could never generalize it to other programs, especially not to new ones, where no training base exists.

At an overall C19 prevalence of ~33% in the UK, it is not surprising, that 10-20% of children who there are among the hepatitis cases tested positive for SARS-Cov-2. Wondering why they take this into account at all for their explanation tries, for the UK. Still the Israeli cases might point stronger in that direction with 11/12 cases showing C19 has been there.

Checking might so still be a good idea.

Heise betreibt auch die deutsche Version von Technology Review, und Telepolis; eine Plattform die mehr in Richtung Nachrichten zur Gesellschaftsentwicklung geht (sollte aber kritisch gelesen werden, da zum Teil ein paar 'ungewöhnliche' Ansichten vertreten werden).

* the daily cases report¹ of the RKI shows strictly raising cases of Omicron, but as of today (03.01.2022) a maximum of 19.9 (per 100k inhabitants, total cases in the last reported week: 274, that is 10% of all Covid-19 cases) – the linked Twitter message shows a completely wrong number "41"

* the weekly report² of the RKI does not mention general Omicron rates of vaccinated vs. unvaccinated at all, neither does any of the from there linked resources. (The in the Twitter message marked text shows some numbers, but these are only a partial excerpt of all cases over all time, where for many cases – 35% – no status info exists at all. They can not be used for calculating what the author proposes.)

* even if you could use that excerpt; the numbers in the graphic the author created, do not even add up to be valid among each other (e.g. "fully (2 or 3 dose)" is smaller than "2 dose"), and do not even reflect the proportion of the wanna-be source (the marked text), which e.g. would show there would be less re-infected state than unvaccinated – again: still the marked text is no usable source at all.

So this is pure fake news from the liar @holmenkollin…

Also the other counterfeited graphs, by another liar @10p8atriot, shown further below in the post, do really suck in 'counterfeiting quality', e.g. more than halving the unvaccinated cases, and adding some 1-vaccinations from April to June which do not at all exist in the data, which can be easily checked at the given source: https://data.gov.il/dataset/covid-19/resource/9b623a64-f7df-... whereof the real graph looks like this: https://ibb.co/f2SjmwP

No idea how these fakers get away with this all the time – must be something quasi-religious or so, at their fanbase.

I personally can not judge many things, like the performance, that's why I am asking in so (too) much detail for anything. Do you have a link to the IKEA case by the hand, maybe? Was it more an 'we want everything to move all the time, so phones are too slow' problem, probably including 'we load ways too much unnecessary stuff' on their web page, or what drove them moving back?

It sounds like you have an existing preconceived notion and anyone giving you any answers isn’t going to make you say “oh you’re right, I hadn’t thought of that”.

I am still waiting for that effect, respectively only asking further to the parts not fulfilling that, as I am basically asking why we would need (most) apps, if web provides (most) of the stuff in a much more simple way, regarded from developer's side – and a not more complicated way, from user's view.

Also I often struggle with the way big companies are developing their sites, already for the good old web browsers – e.g. Twitter already regularly collapses trying to detect if I am human – so don't take it personally, if I do not take them as measurement, how things should be done. Just because you are big, does not mean you do it right. They can't even get it really managed to develop their sites so that they work normally on a 10 year old box, and are more part of the unnerving keep-the-sites-content-moving all the time, then part of solid web development, IMHO.

Four words: Can't see that.

* Games: some might be done with better battery life, but most games are simple ones, where this should not really hold. Besides that: If it's so horrible in browsers, the manufacturers should hurry to keep up, as these manufacturers are often the same as the mobile platform providers

* Icons: maybe it's two clicks to add a web page to the home screen, or to click on a bookmark in the browser. But it should be still not more difficult for users to add the bookmark icon to home screen than to install an app, which requires not less 'clicks'

* Performance: most apps are quite simple, and should not need the native boost. By the way: How big would it be really for most apps?

* Technology: if you "cant" do messaging, why does it work? ;-) And of course as web page it already works for ages, also encrypted, if you want. Besides that, email is still superior, and not more complicated, than instant messaging.

* App Store: restricts you in many ways, in what you can install, instead of having a freely visible web page

So already with the restrictions of the App Stores, how can the User Experience for (most) apps be better than with simply visiting a web site? Do you really consider them being too dumb to add an icon to their home screen instead of installing an app?
