VincuVentas is a data-driven marketplace for matching job-seeking candidates and businesses in the sales domain. We were founded by one of the most important company builders in the LATAM region, Polymath Ventures [0], with which we share an office. We're looking for a UI/UX Designer to join our diverse 10-person colombian-swiss-dutch-italian-german team in Bogotá. There is a strong focus on fast, iterative learning cycles and a real chance for you to impact the direction the product is going to take over the next coming months.

Some of the things you can work on here would be:

  * Design Vincu’s company and candidate facing products, including candidate profiles, subscription forms, easy to use inbox system, market intelligence, etc
  * Communicate with the tech and marketing team to continuously improve our platform and allow rapid scaling
  * Quickly design and test prototypes with real clients
  * Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas

Needless to say, Bogotá is a very exciting place to live in, Colombia offers many options for getaways and exploration (think beaches, mountains, plains and jungles rolled into one).

I also work for one of the ventures here. Very dynamic and friendly multi-cultural environment, we just got a new open air space to have lunch or do work. My name isn't even on the list of recent donors anymore, that's going fast! Maybe he'll wake up tomorrow and hit refresh a couple times to be sure there's nothing wrong with the counter, hehe.

I like the looks, too! Looks to me as if iPhoto will eventually be replaced by Photos (though I believe I remember the announcement was that it would not?) as it wraps most of its functionality and has a nicer look. Maybe makes sense to have Photos (lifestyle) and Aperture (professional) as two apps with a clear focus for each one.

I'm just missing some statement on how the performance is, especially since we all have like several hundred GBs or even TBs worth of pictures nowadays. It's only a preview with screenshots though...

Thanks for the hint, eventually i stumbled upon the note about Pixelstick in the article, never heard of it before. The first image on the website [0] made me believe it is some kind of tablet with a big special case, as the picture is taken from an unexpected angle. But hey, first impressions...

That being said, this looks like some real innovation and makes for an interesting creative workspace setup.

Soon we'll have flexible flexible displays to close the gap between the screen and the projected area (see the moment in the video where she flicks an item from the screen on to the projected area? Quite literally, a gap in interaction).

I can imagine this being used in some of the user interface research labs which have been working with similar hand-made setups before.

This is great news, definitely an area which should get disrupted.

Just tried taking the test (it's Chrome only on desktop, Android only on mobile, at the moment).

It will ask for permissions to access your webcam and microphone, ask for ID and finally, to share your screen. This way the can guarantee (?) that you don't cheat. Unfortunately, at the end it couldn't upload my test data and just said "You have to take the test again at another time"
