Hey everyone! I am Shashank, a data, cloud and backend engineer with 8 years of experience. Currently, I specialize in building backend APIs, ETL pipelines, and developing security tools at an Ad Tech security company. At my previous company, I served as a founding engineer and data engineer. During my tenure, I designed and built the entire data infrastructure, payments platform, and most of the company's products. Throughout my 8-year career, I have gained extensive experience in delivering products from concept to launch, designing architecture, product & infrastructure planning, and managing small teams.

I have been working fully remotely for New York based companies since the past 4 years from India and Europe as a digital nomad. I am open to fully remote roles as well as onsite/hybrid if visa sponsorship is available.

I agree writing templates into JS like that is plain ugly. Using HTML5 template[1] tag is a better way to go. I used it in a fun project[2] and it works flawlessly in all modern browsers

Hey, I am a mid-level python/js fullstack/frontend engineer with 1 year experience. Are you guys only hiring for Senior developers?

Just after my undergrad college I joined a startup hoping to learn and grow exponentially as a developer. The first day of work my girlfriend came to drop me off and she said, "you are changing your job in next 6 months". And 2 months working in I realized she was right, it was a dying startup with no future. I kept working hoping I would induce a change and inspire the team. Six months in I hated it so much and I got so frustrated that I quit.

The first week after quiting I just spent time questioning my decision. But next couple of weeks I spent time with myself and gained a better perspective about life and career.

Its been 2.5 months now since I quit. I have saved enough to keep me floating. And now I am preparing to get into Amazon. Let's see if I nail it.

It was a rightful decision that I took. One thing I did learn is "How not to run a startup".

Recently watched the Machine Learning Conference and learnt about Clarifai there ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHE0DfBqwHo ) And its pretty cool to see that they are actually expanding along various verticals and understand every image and even videos. And its great to see it here today. Please keep posting more crisp, concise and technical posts here! Kudos for forevery!
